Ichante has 4 services with her guardian spirit. The first service will be a request for protection, which she'll leave to the spirit's interpretation. It's a high-force guardian spirit, so it should know the drill.

She will astrally project and go scout the facility. The idea is to scout it out at a distance initially. If there is a place nearby that she can use to examine the facility more closely but from cover (another building, or perhaps some trees) then she will try to do that next. I will wait for more information from the GM.

I will give a straight Assensing roll without any modifiers, such as Specifically Looking. If the GM wants to apply positive or negative modifiers, please let me know.

Assensing the facility: Intuition 8 + Assensing 6: 14d6t5 3 hits, hmm, I'm underdelivering on the assensing rolls so far

OOCly, I'm unsure about the location of Newhaven and what the surroundings might be like. CraterShip had suggested that we are in Touristville in the Redmond Barrens, but the IC mentions seeing across the harbor. (Redmond is inland and not particularly close to Seattle's harbor.) Redmond does border Lake Sammamish, which is basically AAA on the western shore and an E-zone on the eastern shore, so that's a possibility. Or maybe the bar/warehouse isn't really in Touristville, since that seemed to be a shoot-from-the-hip call, and is actually on the harbor. Long story short, I don't know whether Newhaven is in the middle of a bunch of buildings or a bunch of trees or a bit of both.

Location wise it is lake Samamish, sorry, had to go find my map again and on vacation I didn't have it. Don't worry, I'm back now! Exact locations, I'll put the bar and warehouse on the eastern shore of the lake, and the hospital in the C rating district just north of Rosemont Beach. Btw, using this map.

As for the strain of HMHVV, I had missed that question, so that's my bad, however, he is unaware of which exact strain it is.

Back to character stuff though, the hospital is in a relatively clear area, situated away from the majority of other buildings. It is the tallest structure nearby, surrounded by lightly wooded hills. The trees appear to be landscaped that way, indicating the actual ground ownership of the hospital is fast larger than just the building. You can see a couple guards patrolling, but can't make out any pattern to their movements, whether they are trained to be random, they are bored and wandering, or if you just aren't there long enough to determine is unclear at this point.

From assensing, the area seems quiet, although there are several mixed feelings that seem to float about. Misery from the weather, hope for upcoming experiments, tragedy of failure, and even death.

I'll leave this in OOC, and you can play it however you'd like IC, but this is almost entirely descriptive text that only you can see thus far. If you want to delve further, get closer, or go inside, let me know.

Cratership
You also missed that Eddie and Chaim pitched an alternate solution to just destroying the vaccine. Asher didn't seem to respond to that at all, despite him being addressed specifically by Chaim.

Also, there's a drug in Chrome Flesh called Zone which allows a character to ignore mild to moderate Phobias with side effects being a sensitivity to light (-1 to Perception and Glare modifiers are increased). I would have bought some during character creation but there's one major problem; it doesn't have a cost, availability, or addiction rating and threshold listed in the book (possible oversight, looks like it's just left out of the table on pages 188 and 189).

Considering it has some drawbacks and is very similar to Guts (which I've already got two doses of), would you be opposed to using the same values as for Guts? For your information, Guts costs 60¥ per dose, has an availability rating of 8R, and an addiction rating/threshold of 5/3.

If so, I'll be requisitioning a couple doses of Zone; the light sensitivity and perception test hit is far preferable to a constant -2 to all rolls while inside ;) I'll also be asking for some Chloral Hydrate (aka a paralyzing agent similar to GHB and rohypnol); never know when slipping a roofie into an off-duty guards drink in order to steal his access card and uniform might come in handy.
Quote from: Chrome Flesh page 181
GUTS (NOFEAR, BRASS BALLS)
Vector: Inhalation
Speed: Immediate
Duration: (12 – Body) hours, minimum 1 hour
Addiction Type: Both
Effect: Immunity to Fear (see below)
This drug suppresses the functions of the brain that govern fear, both innate and learned. For the duration of the drug’s effect, the character is immune to fear (including negative results from Composure Tests) and fear-based powers/attacks. As a drawback, however, the character becomes reckless, incautious, and also less inhibited. At the gamemaster’s discretion, he may call for the character to make a Logic + Willpower (3) Test to avoid doing something that would normally be considered foolish, dangerous, or socially inappropriate.

Quote from: Chrome Flesh page 184
ZONE (SELECTIVE SEROTONIN RE-UPTAKE INHIBITORS, OR SSRIS)
Vector: Ingestion
Speed: 1 hour
Duration: (12 – Body) hours, minimum 1 hour
Addiction Type: Both
Effect: Can ignore Mild to Moderate Phobias

A fear of heights can be a major inconvenience when scaling the outside of an office skyscraper. A fear of enclosed spaces is a pain when  you are hiding in someone’s trunk, waiting for them to unknowingly drive you to the location of a secret research lab. For these occasions and more, you have SSRIs. This drug has the positive effect of calming phobias (see Phobia quality, p. 157, Run Faster), and it also makes users restless and light sensitive. Users receive a Mild Allergy to light while the drug is in effect (p. 78, SR5) and –1 to Perception tests. Any applicable Glare penalties are increased by 1.
So my requisition list looks like this:
1x Jammer (Directional, Rating 6); 1200¥, Avail 12F, SR5 page 441
2x Chloral Hydrate; 50¥, Avail 6R, Stolen Souls page 188
2x Zone; 60¥, Avail 8R, Chrome Flesh page 184
1x Long Haul; 50¥, Avail -, SR5 page 412
1x Cram; 10¥, Avail 2R, SR5 page 411
4x Betel; 5¥, Avail 4, Chrome Flesh page 180

Total of 1500¥ exactly.

I actually had him intentionally ignore the alternate, if that's the plan the team wants to go with, it's up to you guys, he won't tell you how to do the job. It seemed like it was already taken care of IC between Eddie and Chaim, so I didn't have him chime in. I'll allow the zone, as it definitely doesn't seem to break anything and I designed the run with the medical lab portion long before the characters were made. I would honestly feel bad if you were stuck with the -2 penalty to absolutely everything! Alternatively, we could work some kind of weening off zone and have you buy off done of that phobia if you want. Of course that would likely heavily depend on how this run goes, it could just as easily get worse if things go horribly wrong. Go ahead and use the costs and such for zone that you've put together, no need to over complicate.

Coolio, Crater. I'll work the requisition list into an IC post when we get to that.

The team won't be going with Eddie's alternate suggestion unless there's extra nuyen in it for them.  Destroying research and samples is a lot easier than doctoring them effectively.

I'm going to treat Chaim's reaming out of Pixel as his Leadership test for her upcoming Matrix Search -- or other action, should she choose it -- as a kind of "I'm gonna prove him wrong" thing.  I have: CHA (6) + Leadership (6) + Direct Spec (2) = 14 dice.
Leadership (Direct) @ Pixel: 14d6t5 4
So that's 4 extra dice, and +1 to her Limit.

ETA: my first experience with Shadowrun was the old Sega game.  When I was somewhere in the 10-13 range, I did a Shadowrun one-shot down at the LGS, but it was a d100 system, so I think it was a homebrew.  5e is my first experience with the pen and paper game, but looking at previous rule sets I think I came in on a good one.

I hope the radio silence isn't my bad.  @Pixelated, if I've pushed too far, my apologies.  I don't intend on going PVP, but I figure a little inter-party drama can be entertaining.  If I need to dial it back, I certainly can.

As for requisitions, I'd like to see what we can dig up legwork-wise, but I'm thinking of a couple of doses of Gamma-Scopolamine -- partly because it's hard to get a hold of and truth serums can be be invaluable, some Neuro-Stun IX -- mostly dependent on GM interpretation of multiple-vector toxins -- and some Laes -- should we need to make some people forget what our faces look like if we go in with a beard.

As much as I'd absolutely love an Ares Redline or PSK-3, either the cost or Availability are too high.  We could stock up on some Ex-Explosive rounds, as they're pretty brutal against lightly-armored antagonists, and could even make Chaim's Light Fire 75 a force to be reckoned with.

Or a Mage's Hood.  What's the price and Availability of one of those?

I'd have to look up the mage mask, but the drugs and such should be fine. Interesting take on going for stuff that could be useful later and not specifically for the mission. Hadn't really thought about that, but makes perfect sense since you are essentially getting a free roll on availability up to 14.

As for the legwork side, I'll let you guys pretty much go with whatever you'd like, we've already got some astral surveillance going, possibly matrix action shortly. There's always the in person route, either at range or go for broke and see what you can by just going in. Remember, it is a research hospital, so it will generally be open to the public to a certain extent. Figure out what avenues you wanna go with and I'll let you know what you find in each.

I was going to ask about whether there is public access to the research hospital or not, and if one of us could theoretically pose as a potential client or donor.

Add that to the list for Pixel to investigate: what kind of research do they do there (at least publicly), and could Chaim plausibly pose as a client or donor, or the agent of such?

Ichante will try to get a closer look at the facility from the lightly wooded hills that surround the hospital. She's looking for:
1) magical security, including spirits, paracritters, and/or other magicians on patrol
2) Awakened guards
3) the level of cyberware in the average guard on patrol (acknowledging in advance that the quality of guard patrolling the grounds will not be the same as the quality of guards inside the facility, but hopefully it can give us a clue)

Others can feel free to shout out suggestions. It's late on Friday and I'm still at the office so I may not be processing at 100%.

Let me know if you want new rolls for the above or if you'd just like to keep using the 3 hits that I rolled earlier.

Okay so when the time comes I'll post her board configuration and programs she's going to load as well as the tasks she's going to carry out over the course of the night. That gives me a bit to figure why the dice site won't let me register >.< and don't worry about interparty things Red! character development is awesome ^^ I haven't rp'd the Pixel character in 16 years at least so it gives me a chance to get back into her char :) though...she does respond poorly to pushy types ;) what with her sense of entitlement and all  ;D

Update

Okay got the die roller working, deleting my cookies made the register option work....go figure...

Sounds like everyone is for going to a safer location, possibly even to Pixel's shop if she's ok with everyone going there. Pixel, if your cool with that, I'll let you describe your shop as you see fit.

Also, any other requisitions to put to Asher?

Ichante will put in a request once she's back from her astral recon.

CraterShip, did you have any responses for my last OOC post?
