No.

ETA:
To elaborate: if you're really trying to argue that spotting a Troll (or any metatype for that matter) trying to hide is the equivalent of locating a secret door, then we have nothing more to talk about.

Not in that last case, no. "Hidden" does not equal "trying to hide", especially when the example specifically calls out "Secret door" as a reference.

Well, what if he had the Troll Reduction, so that he's only secretly a troll? That would make him a Secret Troll, at which point it might make sense to equate him to a secret door.  ;D

Don't forget the -3 modifier to perception tests for the micro drone being miniscule in size.

That's a fair house rule; however, since this is posted in the Rules and Such forum, I think it's worth pointing out that that IS a house rule. By RAW, there are Success Tests and then there are Opposed Tests; spotting a micro-sized object would be the former, while spotting a micro-sized object that is actively trying to hide would be the latter.

I also think it's worth pointing out that we do the same as k_night and Coyote at my table also, because otherwise spotting a drone that's running Stealth is just too easy.

Even within RAW there are opposed tests that also have a threshold.  Puppeteer comes to mind as an example.

What's the threshold to spot a Giant wearing glass-heeled sparkly boots with Goldfish swimming in them?

You deserve a cookie for this  ;)

However, the rules really could be clearer on these kind of tests.
