Ah damn you are right his persona go over the device. Inviting MARKs is useless since our objective is to turn off the wireless on the device and once we jack out the Rigger the MARKs will be lost (or do they transfer on the device? I doubt it but maybe). Let's just say that I slap MARKs as soon as I can safely yank the Rigger out and connect to the RCC.

Btw we've reached 60 pages of IC and 40 of OOC, yeay  8)

The Marks would be lost.
And once he is jacked out, he's... Well, not in the Matrix at all, so there's nothing to Mark anymore.

The RCC he is connected to is still ON with the Wireless running, and for what Gilga says the only way to turn it off it to MARK it, or break it I guess.

Oh, yeah.
I thought you still wanted to Mark the rigger, my bad.

That can't be right. Every device has a physical button to turn it off and reboot. Especially a RCC would want one to counter enemy hackers.
If it was a policy decision of that security firm to remove physical buttons from their gear, I'd say they rightly deserve to be wiped out....

The spirit will be rolling 15 DP to heal the rigger and should net 4+ Hits.  Lady Luck be kind!

@Kynos There is some, but a high end device and a reboot may cause harm to the person connected, you need some authentication to use it - fingerprint I assume. I would not just live a button that if someone clicks it I may get physically injured laying there, without security - but this is just me. The fluff of why you need a mark may be to fool the fingerprint scanner or whatever internal security the device has.

@Wheely you can buy hits for the marks, no problem you'll need a control device action and I think just one mark to turn wireless off. (free action). You have 3 wireless enabled devices that need to be hacked to turned quickly off.  It is going to take some time. We can abstract it to a combat round per one.

@The spirit will take some combat rounds but will be there by the time you find a parking lot. Parking lot -
For the right atmosphere I assume that Wheely could get the other two devices offline, and just need to get that one. The rigger can't invite a mark as he is not the owner of the device. (Luna security is) he was just granted marks to use it. (He cannot also transfer ownership and do other owner only actions).

So what I want to say is roll initiative, you may have a bit of shooting to do before the spirit heals and the rigger is dump shocked, and wheely turns of the device.

Simone knows that the situation is not good, OOC he had 1 physical box left, and now 2 after you used the healing seat. I think that the heal from the spirit would increase your chances significantly, and wheely can release him with his own matrix actions (or by shooting the RCC - but then less loot for you).

Hope that clears things out ;)

Ok let's go for some rolls, the Hack are already done and ain't so bad so no reason to buy hits. Let's roll initiative to see how fast I go and Control Devices :

Initiative x33#1d6+7 9 10 10

Control Device 3#9d6t5 6 3 3

Fine by me - we probably tried using the guys finger for the fingerprint scanner, right? (I mean he is the one who should be able to shut it off too)

By the way: Kynos has loaded normal Ammo for this occasion.

Initiative: 6#6+4d6 21 14 22 19 19 18

Initiative phase 1
:
Ayato: 26
Rotordrone 1: 22  Fire!: 9d6t5 3  - Fire at Ayato
Kynos: 21
Rotodrone 2: 21   Fire!: 9d6t5 1 - Fire at Kynos
Rotodrone 3: 19   Fire!: 9d6t5 4 - Fire at Irris
Doberman 1: 19   Fire!: 9d6t5 3 - Fire at Ayato
Doberman 2: 18   Fire!: 9d6t5 4 - Fire at Kynos
Doberman 3: 14   Fire!: 9d6t5 1 - Fire at Irris
Irris: 17

All drones are equipped with AK-97 with wireless enabled lazer sight. (I give them +1 from it) they locate themselves at 150 meters distance (try to take distance into account in your dicepool and have no cover).

The roto drones fire full automatic bursts -9 dice to defend, and are equipped with gel rounds, they do 10P -1 AP stun, and if you are hit you are probably knocked down.  physical limit is reduced by 2.

The Doobermans, are equipped with Defience Ex shooter taser with wireless enabled laser sight and are at about 10 meters distance. Their attacks do 9S -5 AP and (I think) that defender wins on tie, I am not sure so if anyone knows better correct me.

For fairness - since you already know what drones got a good roll - to keep it fair roll a dice to determine what drone you attacked. You can choose doberman or rotodrone at your leisure. Ofc. you are free to select rotodrone or Doberman at your leisure/tactical planning.  The cars should provide partial cover against both roto's and doberman.

The parking lot is relatively empty but there other cars there.  To speed things up feel free to roll for the drones, dodge and damage soak they are all unmodified. They attack with 10 dice, and the rotodrones cannot continue with full automatic burst, so what they will do in initiative phase 2 is seek cover (they'll get partial cover in ip 2 by rationalized by hiding behind a building/ trying to obscure your line of fire). In initiative phase 3 rotodrones will use full auto again, if they are still alive.

Wheely needs 3 initiative phases to finish turning the devices offline. In meatworld it will take 3 combat turns and the combat will be long over (but wheely can do VR if he likes).  What kind of car do you use? (I assume that Wheely cannot be targeted as he is deep in a van, but I reserve the right to target him in IP 2 if he is not in the back of a van). I hope I gave you enough to followup in the combat.

Mulcarn's spirit can materialize in IP1 if you like but it has 1 service.

Simone will arrive at combat turn 2 (if there is still combat), lets see how lethal you guys really are. ;)

Before I begin, how close are those flying drones together?
Because I have a mind to play a flak gunner for this  ;)

For the first Drone firing at Kynos:
Defense: 8d6t5 3
Evaded.

IF they are close enough together (within 3m, I'll try to take them out with an on target grenade:
Aim to reduce penalties to medium range
Heavy Weapon (Grenade Launcher): 9d6t5 3
Drone Defense:
Defense: 6d6t5 2
Direkt hit for 16 AP-2 damage
Since body+armor is only 8 and their damage monitor is only 8 the one at point blank can't survive

The others (if they are max. 3 meters away from each other) get 10
Soak: 6d6t5 1
Soak: 6d6t5 3
One still alive with 1 box left

Just read your post, so ignore what I wrote up there.

In case they are further apart, Kynos will shoot only one flying drone
random drone: 1d3 3
No# 3 that would fire at Irris
Aim (150 is within medium distance for AR)
Shoot 6 round burst of normal ammo:
Shoot Drone: 16d6t5 4
Defense: 6d6t5 21 [6d6t5=6, 1, 1, 4, 3, 6]
DV 14 AP-2
Soak: 6d6t5 1
Drone no. 3 is destroyed

Doberman drone gets to shoot at Kynos:
Defense: 17d6t5 54 [17d6t5=2, 1, 4, 1, 4, 6, 6, 2, 4, 5, 3, 4, 3, 4, 4, 6, 5]
Avoided hit. (In a tie an electro weapon would normally get its touch attack, but with cover you'd hit the cover first and since you aren't doing penetration damage with stun damage it won't go through)

Second Ini Phase at 11
Drone 2 seeks cover and resets recoil
Kynos attacks "his" Dobermann
with Aim and a FA Burst
Shoot Doberman 2: 18d6t5 3 [18d6t5=4, 3, 5, 1, 4, 3, 1, 3, 6, 1, 4, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 5]
Yeah, I've had better hits:
Drone defends at -5, so 1 dice:
defense: 1d6t5 0
DV 13 AP-2
Soak: 6d6t5 0
Dobermann is destroyed

about 15 meters from each other - any closers seems a bit risky for me.
