As far as I know, these chips come with their own piece of hardware that allows them to run directly from a datajack. The rules are silent about how they are activated, but I'd have expected that they have an autorun function.

Oh they will take them once they feel safer, they are still hoping to return home as with the story you told them about being a police officer they do not feel like they did any kind of crime. Ofc, as junkies and detached from reality as they are - they'll figure it out eventually and then these chips are going to feel a lot more tempting.

@Jack_Spade I'm counting on you Kynos! You're the one wearing the armor. Maybe tell them that we have to keep them in custody while the paper-shufflers do their job. The jail is likely better than their own squat and it's probably not their first time staying in custody for a couple of days, and this time they will have food and BTL.

@Gilga Does MXN took care of the smugglers or are they down there with us? Can we spend the night there? Sorry I'm a bit confused with the situation

MXN behaves as if he has no idea why you are there, and he is careful not to learn too much.
You could spend the night if you like the place is equipped there are blankets and matresses, it will not be anything fancy, kind of like a slumber party.

Nah, Kynos doesn't intent to spend any more time with the couriers than he has to - he isn't keen on showing them his face.

I think it's best to tell the couriers, that they have won a three day time out - and that they are the lucky ones, since now their boss is in hot water, hinting at the fact that he is implicated in a major crime "like tax evasion".

Hopefully that will set them in the right frame of mind to cooperate, should we need any more info from them.

Until then they get their (BTL) chips and beer, a roof over their head and a place to sleep and the promise that in three days time they'll be allowed to go back and do whatever they want (which probably includes more BTL)

@Ennui sorry I missed that Irris got hurt. Since Simone is a bit... busy we could say, if gilga does not mind, that you got your turn on the Valkyrie module befire the smugglers. If so throw 11d6 minus 1 per 2 essence loss.

Though if those are stun damage (you were wearing your armor, right ? ) a good night sleep should be enough.

by the way to heal damage you need 4+ hits as the first 3 are ignored, and yes the damage is stun.
so a good night sleep should clear it.

"Roll a First Aid + Logic [Mental] (2) Test, applying appropriate modifiers from the Healing Modifiers table.[...] Each net hit over the threshold removes 1 box of damage;"

The first two are ignored. Also, the Valkyrie module has a sterile interior so you should be rolling ten dice.

The Equus is a spacious car but not that much so I assumed that to fit the Valkyrie there were some adjustement to make hence the -1. The one in Nicole van should get the full benefit.

What was Kynos codename we've decided again? I thought it was mostly for the record so I didn't note it but I guess you can't be too careful.

Hum, I checked on my sheet, Noëmie also has a victorinox dagger, in bracelet form on her left wrist.
I suppose they'll find it (and maybe even know what it is), but you can consider Noëmie forgot that it's a weapon...

If she is not attempting to actively hide it (with palming) than yes they will find it.  I am going to sleep now but if you like you can IC something about that awkward moment and how the examination got a lot longer afterwards.
