The biggest problem with Data Spiking in 5e was there was little downside to just running everything wireless off. And anything you DID leave on for the wireless bonus, it was only a free action to turn them ALL off. In 5e you only had 1 shot at a Data Spike before all the matrix icons winked out.
In 6e, there are more and better wireless bonuses, so fewer people will be tempted to forfeit them and just run wireless off. There are no more free actions, and so it takes a minor action to switch a device off. And best of all (from the hacker's perspective) it takes a Minor action per device, not 1 minor action to turn ALL devices off.
