Cheyenne wearing nothing fancy? Yeah right! Even her pyjamas have a designer label!

Silk waited for Cheyenne to show up and spotted her immediately. She was turning a lot of heads in the place and was well aware of it, expecting nothing else. It still amazed Silk that a simple mundane human could have the effect she had on a crowd... it would have bothered her more than slightly if it'd been anyone else outmatching her own attractiveness in a place like this.

She sent an order for a martini 'asap!', sent a tip to the waitress for her quick service and after giving Cheyenne a welcome hug and kiss, offered the martini to her with a wide smile on her face.
"Tonight's on me, time for a celebration. Nice dress! The new Zoé?"

She tutted at Cheyenne's question. "Later, have to be careful what I say out loud. I got a job! Let me show you my new collegues!" They headed back towards where the group was just finishing their drinks and saying their goodbyes, dancing and watching through the crowd. "There's a scandinavian-looking mage too, he left already, didn't feel like staying here, can you imagine?" After watching for half a minute, their dancing takes them away from the group.
"The guy with the fancy AR is a technomancer! Kind of stepped on his toes too... Odd looking group, huh?"

As they dance, Silk tells her in great detail about how she handled the Johnson to get him from his 70k offer to potentially 200k and some help, visibly relieved that he still had his clothes on when the meeting was over. "Used some of the tips you gave me. Not bad for a rookie, don't you think?", she asks enthusiastically.

11:00 Silk's sent a PM to Nomad, the address an expensive hotel downtown Seattle. It's not where she lives. She doesn't distrust them, but that doesn't mean the trusts them enough to know where she lives. Takada waits in the hotel bar, sitting at a window watching the street, enjoying a real coffee while reading some AR articles on big game hunting.

"You're no rookie.  Stop making me sound older than you." she chuckles.    "Very nice bargaining." she murmurs.

"Mr. Johnson...the fat man." she bites her lip.  "Don't let that fool you.  He's a little too self-controlled, if you ask me.  Haven't seen him much." she pauses to sip her mojito more slowly.  "You're not behind on your loan...if you get a bad feeling..." she trails off.
She pinches the bridge of her nose.  "Hah, listen to me.  Don't let me spook you.  As far as I can tell, he's some kind of middleman's middleman.  If he's someone's pet, I don't know."

"That elf friend of yours seems cute." she giggled, pointing out Tenzin.  "I wonder if I have a thing for elves?"

"You've been with an elf before? Wow, I bet they make the best lovers! What was it like?" Silk asked with purposefully overacted innocence.
"He's got a funny accent too. Don't get your hopes up though, he's not interested tonight. Probably took some sort of vow... or he's gay. Can monks be gay? I bet those prudes don't have any mention of it in their ancient lore."

She leaned forward and pressed her lips against Cheyenne's, after the kiss thanking her for introducing her to this world. "I'm not spooked, haven't had this much excitement in a very long while... Besides, I can hardly afford to say no to the real first job offer I get, right? Good start of a reputation that would be.
It might become a little difficult dangerous though, even with this large a group it's no walk in the park. Even though the target is a park. Want me to tell you about it here, or want to party some more first then I'll tell you all about it at home where you can hold and comfort scared little me as I tell you about all the possible horrors?"

Screw her troubled receptors in this place, not going to cheat... today.

"Charming.  Flexible." she smiled.  "It's a shame." she finished, half heartedly.

She returned the kiss, also half-heartedly.  "True..." she said, with a somewhat wistful note.  Shaking off her dark mood, she says "Let's party; Dante's not an everyday club.  I'll follow your lead."

Several hours later, Silk rolled off Cheyenne tired and out of breath. She pulled the bedsheets over her naked body, then pushed them away with her feet, the warmth too much for her. She turned on her side and started a trail of kisses from Chey's shoulder to her ear, then put her slender arms around her. "Tell me I made you forget all about that elf.", Silk purred, then softly bit her ear.

"Ugh, I should get some sleep. They're picking me up in a little over 6 hours."
Silk suddenly remembered she hadn't even told Cheyenne about the job yet.
"You ever heard of dinosaur biodrones? Sure wish I hadn't neither...."
She explained what was asked of the group, about island, the 'package' worth millions to Aztechnology, the data, the grand opening...
"Heh, sounds exciting, no?", it didn't sound sincere. "I'd ask you for help, but all I ask is the next two weeks off... or it'd kill my career before it starts. I don't want you in danger because of me."

At first...it's...rote, mechanical.  The same style in which you were trained.  But she does warm up, towards the end.  "Hmm...of course." she murmurs contentedly.

"Never heard of them, but what a start to your career." she says, "Dodging dinosaurs.  The sixth world is getting very strange."
"I'm tempted to join you, but I have obligations now.  Those days are past and gone." she frowns. "Mostly." she mutters under her breath.  "Let me know if you need my help, dear...but it's time to leave the nest.  Take your time.  And take care." she says, placing a gentle kiss on your brow.  "Get some rest, I'll be here when you wake up."

She stretches luxuriantly, and her expression becomes detached, as she starts dealing with the backlog on her comlink.

"All right guys and girls, I'm heading to pick you all up, hope you have your bus passes ready. Oh and if a Mr. Johnson contacts you, co-operate, he's with me."

Gaunt started the vista up with a touch then began to drive the large tour bus towards the first address.

When I received the message:
Waiting for you in front of the hotel, so move your ass.

It puts me in good humour. I get my backpack over the shoulder, guitar over another, and take the elevator to the lobby. After comming in front of the hotel, I take a look around, if I see Gaunt, sitting in one of cars parked there. With zero result, I`m standing there embarassedly for a moment.
Then I realize The Bus.
Nothing strange, to see the bus parked in front of the hotel. Besides the fact the engine is still running and nobody is boarding it or waiting for any arrivals.
Quick:
Detect Gaunt (Force 3) (10d6.hits(5)=4)
Resist Drain (1) for Detect Gaunt (Will+Charisma) (10d6.hits(5)=5)
assures me that he is sitting in the drivers seat, watching me all the time, laughing his ass off. Then I finally connect his sentence
Have your bus tickets ready!
and all other hints together and make my way to the bus. When I board the bus, I salute Gaunt (who is almost crying of laugh) properly:
Hail to the bus driver!
trying to recollect my dignity as I make my way for the seat....I manage only a few steps before I began yell with laughter also...
When I catch my breath, Ill make myself comfortable in front row of the seats, dropping my bag in proper place and my guitar on my knees. I wipe away tears:
Nice day for the trip, Gaunt. Hope you didnt mind some music, pal. I need to practice, you know...
and begin twanging my strings...
Guitar jamming on the road... (8d6.hits(5)=2)
(at least something :)

Silk received a message from Gaunt saying her ride had arrived. Looking outside the window, she saw 2 cabs pull away from the hotel's reserved parking space to make room for a bus.
She got up, wired payment for the coffee then walked outside and into the open doors of the bus without stopping.
She waited for the door to close and the bus to start.
"Great, after being spotted in a club with you guys, being seen stepping onto public transportation was exactly the boost my reputation needed." she said with a grin and in a teasing voice.

She smiled at Gaunt. "Good morning Gaunt." She looked around, checking out the interior. "Nice ride... I can see the advantage of having a mobile meeting place, good thinking! Got one of those 'My other ride' bumper stickers too?"

As she made her way to a seat, she passed LochKid and smiled at him. "Morning LochKid, Nice tunes! I figured you made up that stuff about being a musician.". Her sound filters managed to isolate the guitar music from the ambient sound, she turned its volume down to minimum.

"What was that stuff about being contacted by another Johnson by the way? Haven't heard anything... you told people about our job?"

"Guy owes me a lot of favours, thought best to call on them before Dinos eat us all."  He keyed in the next address, knocking up the windows tint a few levels now the crowd was gathering.

Nomad sat alone at a table outside the cafe, nursing a soykaf and a serious headache. Normally he liked to get out and enjoy the sun for a little while after a prolonged hack, but whatever he'd managed to do to his head was also making everything too bright and too loud. He winced with annoyance at the sound of a large bus pulling up right in front of him, the thrum of its engine rippling through his throbbing head. After a minute or so, realizing that the bus wasn't going anywhere, something clicked in his head. Bus passes, eh? Clever, Gaunt...

Nomad picked up his soykaf and stepped on. "Hey guys. Nice ride Gaunt... Oof. Don't suppose you have a neurologist in this bus?"

He sat down across the aisle from LochKid, wincing at his music. Normally his playing was harmless, unless you already had a migraine. Ugh. Gonna be a long trip...

Gaunt gave a concerned look as he closed the bus doors with a thought.

"You look thrashed Nomad.. Long night? LochKid, you got a way to fix him up? "

"Yeah. I hacked into the reservation system when I got home. Pushed it a little too hard hiding the admin account I created. Must've gotten away with it, though... Doubt anything short of a milspec system can see through that stealth cover I used. So, what've you guys been doing?"
