Finished Created, the Destroyer last week, on the recommendation of Patrick Goodman.  An fun read...particularly interesting to catch the differences in time (ie today vs when the book was written).  Will likely be picking up more of the series (yes, the first hit being free can be an excellent marketing tool ).

A song of Ice and Fire from Martin.  I'm currently in book 3 part 2 and wondering if any of the principal characters is going to make it to the final book.  That's one author who clearly doesn't believe in character shields.

Haven't read any of Mitchell's (or other 40K fiction) stuff in a while...though I enjoyed the Cain series more than most.
