I'm currently working myself through the Deverry series from Katherine Kerr.  Great books, but you have to keep your head with them, as they work on the principle that souls are reborn in new bodies and so from time to time you have those souls again with different names.

Yeah, I read that series years ago and loved it. Some of the first fantasy I read. Really gritty, which is how I like my fantasy.

Laundry files is one of my all time favorite books and probably the best fictional source for SR I've ever read.

I'm about a quarter of the way through "Shake Hands with the Devil" by Romeo Dallaire, the Canadian officer who was saddled with command of the UN mission to Rwanda.  Next on the slate after that are 2 Games Workshop novels about the Imperial Guard.  Then I've got 2 Clancy novels to get caught up on.
