I started in the early 90s, I was young, money was easier to spend, because it was my parents money theoretically, and whilst I was in a weekly Roleplaying Group, I brought the 2nd edition core rule book and enjoyed the setting. It can be a nose dive into an unfamilar setting as I quickly found out. Some years later in my early twenties I brought the 3rd edition book, found it much the same but did not get to play it. I am onto the 4th edition, and will be looking to get a game running in the near future with my current roleplaying buddies! Just needs some careful planning, some of them only know the D&D 4ed rules and need to ease them in slowly and gently as not to upset the Shadowrun atmosphere.
