It seem that I wasn't clear in at least two cases during this scene :/ I am sorry for the inconvinience
1.back on the physical plane of the world in the red wire office someone raised a thin glowing magic wall along the entire wall on the lower level.
It is a physical barrier to answer Omar's question.
Physical Barrier (Environmental, Area)
Barrier spells create glowing, translucent force-fields... (pg.211)I thought it is on both levels, based on the above it is ONLY at the lower level. Which mean you're free to go out cloaked by your invisibility spells. There is only one person that can spot you and you must pass by him on your way out. I'll find the counterspelling rules in a moment.
2.5. you can slip past them - no problem about it. one action to log one to red wire node with security priviledges.
It is because of number 5 that I thought I already had security privileges to Red Wire node--not user privileges. I had been spending edge to get the security privilege because I didn't realize at the time that I could continue to hack to upgrade my account permissions.
this has two-point-answer
a) I forgot about that I gave you secruity priviledges without a comment, and further in the game I assumed you understood your priviledges as security account limited to access to the physical and matrix security functions only. The problem with RAW is that you got three level of accounts. most important is security account, which give you access to most functions in the node. In real case of systems, there are rarely three types of account. While basic user and admin are the same. The priviledged users (security type) rarely have common access to all functions. There are for example people that can only see the records (users - client), people that can write the results (security type 1 - workers) and people that can see business analysis based on the entered data, as well as priviledged to correct the entries (security type 2 - managers). Then there is admin type account priviledged to remove the data and software altogether.
In the RedWire node case I designed two types of security accounts (type one security hackers and type two shop managers/workers). I haven't told you that which led to confusion
b) there is no way to upgrade your account by continuing to hack. You have to make new exploit to get the priviledges, hence the edge spent was done correctly.
