Really dont know how to get this in line with rules. But its your call...and IMO...deadly? had you seen my condition monitor? By the logic of what you are saying, hacker jammed open by IC is unable to do anything but resist damage. Every use of software is something that breaks your argument...talking about simply using Command program to turn on Jammer attached to PAN, for example...
If that would be impossible, Spoofing is also impossible. And, following the same line, usin Medic, Attack or any other program also. Beacuse programs you use from your own commlink, not from the node you are fighting in...in fact...everything happens inside your commlink, your brain aint travelling anywhere, at least if you are not a techno...

Yep I've seen how you look like, but facing of two good hackers with black software without someone back there ready to pull you off you shouldn't be walking at all.
We agree that jamming is an exploit of the RAW.  The rules are very clear on most actions that allow escaping (jack out, log off even spoofing a datatrail to break the connection) except for jamming. For me it's the omission rather then intention.  Especially that it doesn't even require a electronic warfare roll I don't see why anyone wouldn't do so. If you go first in the round, and were hit in the pass end, you jamm yourself out as the first action on the next pass, if you go last and was hit you eject as soon as you get blocked. What's the reason for even introducing this feature into black ic then, and spending considerable amounts of wordcount in the rulebook on it?

as far as my interpretation - persona operations (using programs/loading/unloading programs) are IMO happening in you the node you're jammed in, there is no need to use the commlink subscription for that, that is why there is a persona limit in the target node - you actually load and run the persona on the target node.

I could go and revert the interpretation as this might be too offensive, but since forcing your own commlink to jamm is effectively the same thing as jacking out or logging off. You would be able to command OTHER device to jamm in the fly, cutting the matrix connection from your commlink to the blackiced node, but you'd need to overcome the standard ECCM roll on jamming the commlink, EW + signal of the jamming device vs EW + signal of the commlink + ECCM software if running (the EW skill rating could probably be dropped from the second roll, as you wouldn't apply the skill to defend the link).

What do you think? I don't want exploits like this legal or not, and am looking for a fair solution within RAW or outside of it if needed.
The bottom line is that Black IC software and Attack program is an rocket launcher compared to pistol and if you're not ready for this you shouldn't be there to face it.

1) IMO EW roll is needed. No hits on it means you were not able to modify your device into jammer
2) OK. So it means that to turn your commlink into the jammer needs at least one action, that is necessary for nay off: jacking off, turning off computer, rebooting...and Black IC blocks this action so you are not able to do so. OK.

I've made few rolls while the InvisCastle was down, and it looked like you'd have no problems with the node even with your damage modifiers after the agents had its way with it, so I've decided to spare ourselves few dozens of rolls and speed the thing a little bit.

Sent...first thing I need to do is to change my AcessID, so if the HW roll is needed, Ill do it. If I need some tools I dont have, I`ll just run Stealth and spoof datatrail and work in short intervals. For Alices commlink, first I check the hardware and set signal range to 3m (signal 0) So I can access it, but it is not in mutual range with anything else...

OK so Ill AR analyze the commlink to see what waits for u there. Would it be possible to finish the game without matrix connection (IMO since it was linked to GPS barrely possible...Sio maybe Ill need to change her AcessID also...to stay hidden from Diamond and his dogs...)
