So, basically, one analyze test would tell me what's an icon of interest (this is the find stealthed icons roll,) and then other hits/tests will tell me more about those icons?  Does that sound right?

And do I need to do multiple hack tests to add multiple IDs to Kiko's approved guest registry or whatever?

I'm looking at page 338 SR4A where nano paste is listed, I see the part were you talk about the rating adding to the roll, but i don't see anything about what the ratings are, and they aren't listed anywhere I'm looking right now. Is there a default rating for it? is the rating the edit program? what's up?

There's two options for preparing a mask or nanopaste disguise.

1) Program: Computer + Edit test, and the total hits you get equal the mask/nanopaste rating. They are capped by your Disguise skill.
2) Biometric scan: The scanner's rating is used for the disguise rating.

that might just be easier, as it seems I'm lacking in the necessary gear to make that nano paste work to our advantage. (I don't really have the skills necessary to operate the first option and I don't have a bio scanner... gonna have to work on that.)

Kontact you got it, and only one edit test to edit the file however you want. Threshold changes to accommodate the complexity of the edit. Yours is the basic two plus the security level modifier for not having the proper level of access.

Slip yes the programining test sets the rating, if you don't have that I will let you have it programed at the store and that gives you a rating 3, but you won't be able to change it unless someone else does it or you go back to the Halloween shop you bout it from and for a small fee have them reprogram it for you.

Not sure what threshold you're looking for on the edit test to put the crew on the guest list, but here's a roll.  11d6.hits(5) → [5,3,5,6,4,1,3,4,3,6,3] = (4)
 If the threshold is higher, I'll throw edge for the reroll.  7d6.hits(5) → [5,3,6,1,6,1,5] = (4)  For a total of 8 hits.
