@Jink:  Tough break... but maybe once she sees you.. in action.  Then I'm sure she'll come to you.

"The wagon it is."

"Don't know why you'd need the camera logs with Breaker dead.  You got trid already of the guy before and after he got his head chopped off.  If you're hoping for his girl's pix, I ain't got those.  Don't keep cameras outside.  Kids always smashed or sprayed 'em so I just stopped trying to keep tabs on the street.  Besides chances are by now that I've had cops in my pad where the data's stored.  My home security is set up to burn all surveillance records the moment a guy broadcasting police ID steps foot on the property.  I don't exactly run a legit business, ya know."

I'd need about 7 to 10 hours of prep time to conjure some serious back up, plus a little luck.  I'd also need a place to do it.

"Let's roll then," declares Jink, ushering out anyone who is coming along in the swagger wagon.

Jumping into the Rover, he pops his fibreoptic cable in and commences rigging, the hull of the van becoming his body, the twitch of  smile breaking through Jink's sleepy looking form as he enjoys the raw power of his thrumming engine-heart. Gunning the beast once or twice for theatric effect, his synthetic voice comes over the speakers as folks file in...

"Next stop pawn shop," he states, his voice fading to black DJ style as he cranks up the bass heavy tunes, the subwoofer in the back playing havoc with passengers' ability to talk among themselves. The rotating disco light keeping time with the base doesn't help either.

Rolling off the curb, the old biker waits for Motoko's tank to take the lead. Damn but that thing's got some armour on it.

Switch climbs into the wagon and settles back as Jink takes off.

As the disco light starts rotating he shakes his head.

Ghost hope into the "swagger wagon" right behind Switch.  As soon as it starts moving he expands his conscious mind into the astral realm.  Ghost calls on a guardian spirit to back him up on his astral scouting mission.

Force 5 Guardian Spirit optional power (natural weaponry)

9d6.hits(5)=5  Magic 5 + Summoning 4
Spirit resist
5d6.hits(5)=2  3 services granted

Resist 4DV drain
11d6.hits(5)=3 1 box stun damage

Ghost speeds through the astral plane towards Vanian's place of business slowing considerable as he reaches his destination trying to determine if there are any essences in that area.  If he perceives nothing outside he'll procede to check the interior for life essences hoping not to see and astrally active presences there.

Rat's pawn shop is dead empty, on the astral and in person.  On the matrix though, there's a little spark.  Makoto notices it as only someone who breathes wireless signals can, but as they approach the building a message is sent from a small RFID to Jink, right before the RFID burns itself out.  Jink reads the message.

<<Mr. Keppa, I see that you are back at Rat's "antique" shop.  This suggests that we have business to discuss.  This business involves your ork friend Jack as well, so it would be good of you to inform him.  Please call me at your earliest convenience.  -Steven>>

Motoko, already in the digital world as she controls her van, watched the RFID burn itself out. <<An RFID just sent a message out.>>

From her chair, she directed the van to stop across the street from Rat's shop, and allowed those who wished to get out to do so before locking the doors. She remained in the virtual, for the moment.

After scouting the shop Ghost returns to his body.  "Shops quiet.  Can't see anyone there from the astral world.  Hey either of you have something for this headache I got?"

<We'd best get what we came for, then. It could just as likely have sent Steve a message; he might be showing up soon.>

@Team: No need to sneak in now.  Looks like you made a friend Jinks.

Guess I didn't win big on that match...
