composure check (8d6.hits(5)=4) Jo keeps cool.

The bouncer's words seemed like a challenge, and Jo wanted to meet that challenge with a knife to his throat.  Just knocking the piss out of people who don't know to mind their own business... she grumbled under her breath.  But she held her poise while the guy went back inside the bar.

As the bouncer went back inside, Kitten moved on towards the guy they had put down.
@team: "Someone has restrained so we can keep him bound until we can ask a few questions?"
As she arrived with the guy, she looked him over both in the meat and on the astral to check for wounds.  She knew the basics of first aid as most people learned in merc companies, even if it was to only make sure your buddy made it to the first aid station.  As mage she had access to faster, magical healing, but that didn't always work very good on those cybered-up idiots in the battalion, so she had also learned a bit about regular healing.

assensing to check his health (and other things)
intuition 5 + assensing 3 =8 (8d6.hits(5)=5)
let me know and I'll continue, depending on whether he's only stunned or also injured.

Space meets the rest of the team at the end of the alley and decides to follow Kitten to the body.
@team/Kitten: "Please a short version of: 'Why the shooting?' and 'Why at this fellow here?'"

While Kitten do first aid and look the guy over, Space thinks to himself to better run with it, there might be a reasonable explanation why they shoot at this one. Maybe he had a lead to The Bog or some deep intel or connection to the Yaks...who knows...

@Kitten: "Did you find a BioMonitor at him? Don't want to hear the explanation, why we shoot at him Space looks back to the others when you tell it to a DocWagon extraction team.
looking back to Kitten,
By the way, can you give me his links and other matrix gear, before some time-triggered data-deletion or so happens.

"Got some strong restraints in my backpack in the cars trunk if you need 'em. Don't use cheap plastic crap on hacker/superman, he got away from us last time, don't want to repeat that.", Silk sent over the comms, remembering just how much he humiliated them. "There's a spool of monowire in there also, use that too, loose loops around his wrists. People tend to stop trying to wriggle out when they notice they're cutting off their own hands.
Space, 'bout mister infodealer I'm talking to, you check his comm? We want to know what he knows and do not want him recording the stuff going on here."

@Noise: "I told this guy you're a Russian assassin, probably sent after him. Don't act too friendly with us, probably best you get out of his sight for now, being outnumbered by us and all that."

Cho is filled with deltagrade 'ware, the wired reflexes are making the rest hard to make out, he has a lot of headware. He's unarmed, bleeding profusely from his nose [Full Stun+5P] and seems to have nothing of importance on him, while looking him over the edges of some tattoos become visible., he's sprawled with one leg in the sewer hole.

Lendar sighs, "All right ah'll help but this is one huge fragging freebie, 10k street info, so you gotta do me a favour. Deal?"

Silk was stunned. "You're actually serious? All of this and you're still trying to bargain?
"Must be this damned outfit I'm wearing. People take me a lot more serious when I'm not dressed like a slutty teenage girl... Guess they really forget the homicidal dangers and darkness of puberty.", she muttered to herself.
She sighed, shaking her head and shrugged. "But okay, you're a business person, I understand that, I like that! How you stayed alive until now is a bit harder to understand, but I suppose that's your own concern.
The problem is that you've still shown us nothing you could bargain with, while we have already preformed quite an effort in getting to this point and have demonstrated with little uncertainty a willingness to take this as far as it needs to go.
So tell us what you got and we'll see if it's worth something in return beyond giving you the opportunity to see another sunrise. That's the best deal you're getting out of this, I promise you that.
So let me rephrase this one last time, in your own language so you better understand: Whatcha got ta share wid us 'bout the fraggin' Japs and their biz that'll make us wanna cut a deal with ya insteada just poppin' a cap in yah ass?"

"He was spying on us," Kitten said to Space, "and I at least want to know why and more importantly, for who.  Now, as far as I can see his commlink is internal.  He has a lot of deltaware stuff in his head, plus some wired reflexes.  So I'd rather not give you the commlink, as it would be difficult to get questions out of him later on if we cut open his head.  So you'll have to get in the normal way.  Which reminds me, any of you have a jammer, so we can avoid him contacting someone?"

While doing the talk, she looked to see if there was a Docwagon or similar Biomonitor and a commlink or commlinks.  Next she used her medkit to stop the bleeding and bind the more obvious wounds, so he wouldn't bleed out on her.  With all the 'ware in his body, magical healing wouldn't work all that well, so it was better to use a regular medkit.  He would have a splitting headache when he would wake up.  Next up was binding him.
@team: "Someone else has a car where we can put this one in?"

Using first aid to heal 1 box of physical damage (it's my maximum as it's capped by skill)
first aid test (2): url=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3523813/]logic 3 + first aid 1 + medkit 5 = 9 (9d6.hits(5)=4)[/url]
Heals 1 box of physical damage, so he should be stable but still out cold.
observe in detail to look for docwagon biomonitor and commlink(s), plus other interesting stuff:
intuition 5 + perception 2 + visual spec 2 + active looking 3 + vision enhancement 2 =14 (14d6.hits(5)=7)
I think I find any biomonitor he has and any commlink that's not implanted.  Maybe a couple of certified credsticks or things like that.

"I don't have a head jammer right now, but something similar" Space runs back to the car and comes back with his backpack. He connects the datajack of the hacker (assuming he has one) to his secondary commlink and push the backpack over the hacker's head. "I painted this one with wireless-negating paint. Not where nice but should work... as long as he doesn't has a hidden link somewhere in his shows."

"Look yah might think yer skilled, smart, powerful or whatever but the Yaks are scary, yah can't deny it. Info dealer sells info, it's expected, info dealer hands it out.. then ya' just a snitch. The Yak's big gamble, business wise an' mechanically, The Bog. I dunno what the game actually is... I just know anyone who ever does get's the Jackpot plus every sucker's wasted nuyen and all their money back...  no one wins though. It's hidden in plain sight too. They bought out an entire floor of the old apartments they mask the advert behind on the 'Trix. I can provide the casino's membership code and you'll be able to get in but beware, it's still in testing so they're only letting Yaks in. Be ready to prove it," he glances at Hank. "There's a whole bloody Yak convention at that stuck up Horizon hotel because they finally fixed The Bog after an angry patron snuck a firework in."

Kitten doesn't find anything on Cho. Space can't find any datajacks.

"This is the cleanest guy I've ever seen," Kitten said to Space, "equipment wise that is.  He could use a bath after sitting in that dumpster.  I guess you will have to hack in it the old fashioned way while I keep him unconscious so he can't annoy you.  I have some patches I can use for that as soon as he start coming around.  Now, who has the car?"

Silk nodded approvingly and clapped her hands together. "Ok, so not totally a waste of our time! And what exactly was it that you wanted in return in this deal? Oh, and would you happen to know the name of that old grey Yakuza oyabun staying there?", she asked with a short description of the man who bought her dinner.

Can she tell if he's lying or holding back information?

Space holds his secondary commlink infront of himself, saying: "Be nice to each other." , connects it to his primary link and puts first together with the hacker's head into the backpack.

Quote
Start to scan the head with the secondary and the rest of the body with the primary commlink.

It seems if he has a 'link, it's off.

"You had lunch with... oh frag... That's the head of the Bakuto... Not Seattle's one, THE Head. You're lucky to be alive! His names Kamoniwa Sengo... For the deal I want a favour from your team, for me to call in if I need it. Nothing major."

Everything so far seems kosher.

Jo stopped watching the bar and creeped over to the prone interloper.  Picking up her knife from the ground and wiping the bit of hair and skull from the handle, she sheathed it and the other, still in her hand.  She turned to Kitten and texted.  <<@Kitten: Hank's a doctor, you know.  Maybe a Tamanous plant to watch over us, but still a doctor.  I wouldn't trust his uncharacteristically wholesome ass with my secrets, but I'd trust him to do medicine to a guy I sorta want alive.  Actually, now that I ponder, I haven't seen him actually do any medicine.  Maybe at the Ghoul's place?  'Scuse me while I think on this a moment..>>

Jo stood pretending to ponder Hank's loyalties while actually looking at the stranger she had clocked with the flat side of her knife.  <<@Team:  Think this looky-loo is watching out for Yakuza interests?  Lendar there is the only guy dumb enough to advertize on the open net that he's got Bog info.  If we found him, Yaks probably know about him, in which case, they could have been using him to flush out potential threats.  In other words, oops.  They're going to know someone's coming, and once they scoop Lendar up they'll have some faces and such to go with that.  Makes him a liability with his memory intact.>>

Silk raised a finger. "Sorry, just a second. Lots of radio chatter going on."
@team: "So running into each other twice on two jobs is just an amazing coincidence? Plenty of room and jobs in Seattle, but possible. And why would the Yakuza hire an outsider for a job that's all about keeping info from getting out?
Cracking this guy's link would help shed some light on these things I guess... But I wouldn't bet too much on our chances of hacking into the commlink of anyone with gear this level, no offense Space. I won't stop you from trying, but my money's on his IC erasing all data in the best base or frying your brain in the worst.
As for Lendar... We need to know what's inside his memory more than we need to destroy it... for now. Really would be handy to get inside his commlink though! Wiping his memory but leaving that of his commlink intact would get us nowhere if he's recorded any of this. Also slightly concerned about that stupid briefcase of his, could be anything from a lunchbox to a concealed rocket launcher or nuclear bomb case for all I know."

Silk finished her message and looked into the ork's eyes, continuing to ignore the briefcases existence.
"So anyways, where were we? Oh right, a favor! If this info is worth 10k I'm afraid that, all things considering, this isn't really an even deal. 10k is slightly below our paygrade... or did you really consider us to be that low level?" she sounded hurt and insulted. "The codes would be nice, but a little more would be welcome to even the deal... By the way,  I never really got your name... Matrix nicknames are so dreadful."
