As Joe was trying to herd the group out of his office, Jun stood stock still and continued asking questions regarding the job.
"If you do not know why the man disappeared and ceased his payments, there might be extenuating circumstances. If we were to track him down and confront him, and he can reasonably provide the money owed over the past 6 months, would you prefer that to a hand which you will never be able to resell? Obviously he would need to cover additional collections fees to compensate for the cost of tracking him down - something - but, on the outside chance that this mysterious man has a means of generating capital, would you not prefer that over taking back a custom-built hand which will never fit on another living being?
On the topic of the hand itself, was it purchased to replace a missing or damaged limb, or did he sacrifice a working biological limb to have it installed. What is the design of the thing? Was it customized to a specific purpose, like superhuman agility, or does it have some other utility designed into it? You have said that its appearance is like that of a normal limb, should I infer that it is covered in synthetic skin?
Finally, confronting the unknown elements of this job, Silk neglected to mention conditional payment when you were talking earlier. Since the man's disappearance is a mystery, and he is a common hustler, the most likely scenario is that Mr. Aki attempted to burn and run. In my experience doing collections, when a party attempts to burn a major syndicate and run away, they do not limit themselves to just one. After all, he can only die once. So, the possibility exists that Mr. Aki owed money to a long list of people who would then want his head rather than his hand. If, in finding the man, we find him at the mercy of a 3rd party, that would fall considerably outside of the scope of the job as you described it. Is there a possibility of hazard pay should situations develop which you yourself have not anticipated?"
