Some of you have received (or will shortly) PMs, hooks to get things rolling. They're private due to their nature. What you share and how soon you share it, are up to you. Some of them are such you can do a /little/ without involving anyone else.

In a couple of cases I'm not sure the players are still with this game. If they're not, their special packages will get minor changes and handed to other players.

Yeah. Had it ready, then SWMBO had some tasks and I forgot. Was looking for responses this morning wondering why I hadn't seen any and... oh. oops.

For general info, Mason asked permission to enter and I granted it. I'm partially pausing his connection to one of you while I wait to see who's still present.

Situational update.
I sent out four hooks expecting them to surface in IC within the week.

Two of the hooks are progressing.  Two have had no responses.  If those two continue to be silent then Thursday I'll move the hooks to someone else. I will not drop the players unless asked by them to do so (fair return for tolerating my absence). I'll invoke the GM rule of "present but non-participating" if/when it becomes necessary.

Mason's character that is joining us is Bubba Ray, a mage; a Good Ole Boy, at that.  I've got a couple of options for 'forcing' the connections for chain of trust (how you know him, how he knows you). At a minimum, Barbarosa and he could frequent the same bars. Note that's not necessarily like each other, just know each other from familiarity. I've got a couple of other connections depending on who is still in.

As with everyone else I'll let him keep his backstory as private as possible (except for those who know him a bit better).

Bubba Ray does the bare minimum of networking necessary to keep his job as a 'runner; He doesn't care about much except his daughter and keeping her in school, fed, and happy. He will go out and meet runners/Johnsons/fixers just so he can get a job, so not many people in the shadow community really like him. He does do his job, though, so most people can put up with him.

He is currently looking for a team, because he has just about exhausted the possibilities of solo work in this town and he doesn't want to have to move AGAIN.

Actually, it's a base rule  I've got in the character creation for this game.

I dislike on principle the concept of a set of strangers who happen to meet in a bar trusting each other as much as runners trust their teams - which may not be bestest buddy trust, but it's still trusting an armed person at your back.

well, its called "professional reputation" IMO, but we are beginning, so there is no way we can check someones reliability...I dont mind to trust people I work with, basicaly it is that If I trust my Johnson (LOL) , I also trust the team he assembles.

Not the whole team.  Just one or two members. Again, I'm waiting to ensure who's still in (which is most but not all so far) before I "make the connection", so don't get too wrapped about it yet. Just know it's coming so it isn't a shock.

Yeah, at the moment I'm trying to limit the info I give out about my character in the IC thread beacuse I'm waiting 'til connections are established, it's hard to prevent people from metagaming.
