That's not to say power wouldn't be apreciated.
So my first thoughts were this. He was born to a shadow runing family and grew up on it. Given what I read in the source books it felt like if you were going to solo as a shadowruner you would play well like a spy, walk in with a good cover get the goods, jump off a building disapear in to a street and vanish. Anyway given his history and experiance I gave him the folowing stats.
Str 1, Agi, 5, Bod 3, Rea 5 - Log 3 Cha 3 Int 5 Wil 3. Basicaly he's honed and experianced his reactions and intuition are going to be top notch. Agility because... well he's a rogue to put it in other rpg terms. Low strength because he rather stun, poison run away than get in a fight, and if he did get in a fight it would be more ducking under them sticking them with a needle than knocking them out.
From a min max perspective that makes him kind of awkward, I want him to be proficient in mellee as an Agi fighter it might not be possible. I guess he could just shoot pealple with the stun dart gun.
Anyway on to skills.
I did this just by reading the skill descriptions, I would consider him a pro in all the things he does, not a novice so it's either 0 or 3 in most things.
Obviously stealth 3, Influence 3, Electronics 3 (getting through doors getting data etc), Dodge 3, Perception 3
Posible other skills that may be apropriate if we have the points.
Runing, climbing, gynastics, first aid, pistols, some form of unarmed combat, Pilot groundcraft
Knowlege skills (depends what job I give him/ what area game is set in)
Qualities and drawbacks here's where he get's interesting.
Pos - Eraser 10 , Deepcover 10,
Neg - Because of his deepcover, (Dayjob 15, Records on file 10, SINer 5) and Pacifist
Explanation, Basicaly his entire family are wealthy influential somethings by day, and shadowruners by night. They have spotless records and anything that might get linked to them get's erased. Further the corps they work for are the perfect places to hide, if it ever came to it by the time the Grand court ordered a corp to hand survailence that would link their deepcovers to their shadowruner personas the data would be erased. Further because they have real Sin's they can use their deepcovers to get through the highest security because it's all legit. It's the shadowruning bit that doesn't have an identity.
He's a pacifist out of shadowruning principle, If you don't kill people corps won't track you down out of revenge, it's just buisness and it's a waste chasing a shadowruner who doesn't even have your merchandise anymore.
Contacts. His family (group), 15 points Size 1-19, 6 loyalty, 6 influence, 2 magic, 2 matrix
Equipment, Unsure at the moment Do I go for cyber/bioware or magic, He's can make himself physicalt invisible, electronicly invisible but not magicaly invisible. I'm not 100% sure how sumoning works, But can I take a Mystic adept, put all my points in to physical and still summon with my max magic value, and just get that spirit to conceal me? Obviously if i'm not taking magic then skill wires seem like a good way to deal with a lot of things
So to sumurise what I need help with.
Magic or not?
A way of fighting efectively. How good is stun?
Needed skills? (I've heard don't bother with hacking unless you're going to be god at it (no that wasn't a typo))
A good profesion that he'd be able to use his deepcover with to get in to lots of places. Eg security specialist.
Dont worry about lifestyle day job pays for that, and I almost certainly need a sleep regulator to regain the time the day job uses up.
And after all that's done leftover Bp spending.
p.s. Also what the frell does spirit afinity DO, so what if spirits like you more, that doesnt exactly help you summon them or make them do things. Ok one type of spirit won't do lethal damage. Why is it worth 10 points?
82 points to spend at the moment.
