Fractal tries to remember if he heard about any gang which lost it's leader recently in Aurora.

very good roll - the news is very fresh but with that kind of roll you might connect the dots.

There is a turmoil in the warrens - There is a large gang called Fronts couple of hundreds members strong with dozens of chapters. What he might be implying is what had hit the shadows just few days ago. A smaller gang that was once within Fronts, but gone independent - going by the name of Three Kings.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

"I assume you are talking about Three Kings, aren't you?"

Nikolai paused - positively surprised.

Yes ... you might even be better than typical american idiots.
Here, that's their base address. You could start talking with them there

He motions shestiorka who passess you an AR of the Denver map with an address marked within the Warrens. (near the crossroad of Smoky Hills and Buckerly Roads)

Mouse will only be partially listening. He will go with whatever his Unca's decide to do. While not sure if he likes the idea of killing a bunch of gang bangers, he's not against it either since a group of gangers used his parents as meat shields and the responding corpsec guards attempted to shoot the bad guys and wound up hitting my parents instead. They died there on the street while the gang and corpsec shot it out. Apparently, what the bad guys stole was worth more than the lives of my mom and dad. And the gang still got away with whatever they stole.

Sam was silent most of the time as he knew Fractal was much better at negotiation, and he would give a hand, if needed.
@Team >Wetwork? i hate that! if we could find a way around that it would be great. if we knew how large the gang is, we might just ask for 1k for a head that would defiantly rise that stakes!<

@Team: I don't like it either, but it does not seem as the only way to work within their parameters. I'm really hoping we can do it the other way.

I joyful smile shines the changeling face. Evaluating people's impression was always a good ability, but when you just made a good image, then that's gold. "I believe the offer you made us was the one supposed to 'typical american idiots'. Since you have already noticed that you are working with professionals, and that this will have a better influence in determining the most positive outcome for you, I would suggest a more fair deal. How about adding seven grand and a half in the pile? Making a percentage of it upfront would also sweeten the deal. What do you say of ten thousand now and the rest upon completion of the job?" His face makes it clear he does not think the Vory are so "powerless" as not to raise a deal.

And I was just starting to think better of you.
You think I don't know who am I hiring? or if you are or aren't capable of the job? or how much you're worth?

You go there and tell them, that I am taking charge. That I will give them guns and ammo and gear they need to be kings of the streets like they name themselves. And you tell them, that if they refuse, we will come anyway, but by the time we finish, they'll be dead. Their families dead as well. Their friends very dead. I'll kill everyone living there whose name begins on M if they refuse.

But go ahead, pretty boy, tell me again how bad I am at evaluating people, you want to join them in being dead?

Two meters of muscle towering over you make you wonder whether his barely controlled rage, will end up in a series of short command barked in russian and helluvalot of shooting in close quarters. The scars that he has, reminders of previous fights, goes white as his muscles tenses.

Nikolai uses intimidation as his negotiations method of choice.
Pheromones have no effect on him (range).

modifiers:
Nikolai is prejudiced toward non-russians -2
result would be of no matter either way for him - he has enough money and doesn't care, he intimidate as a principle
most of you got good street reputation +4
he has intimidating look and behaviour backed up by his thugs and bojeviks -1
his people outnumber you -2
you made a positive first impression +1
total no change -> good street reputation works to your advantage

changing charisma + negotiations (12) to willpower + initimidation (5)

roll modified to 8 dices -> 5 hits, still excellent roll
that is opposite to Charisma (3) + Intimidation(6) -> 9d6.hits(5)=1 hit

4 hits net

He jumps down landing a few centimeters before your face.
Seeing that Fractal barely flinched seems to buy you additional positive impression points. Nikolai burst in laugh. The tension leaves and bojeviks laugh as well, thugs however seems a little lost.
Khoroshiĭ drug, zhestkiĭ yaĭtsa u vas. Horosho, you'll get more. But I need to keep my face. You'll get 30 grants in cash or 35 in guns and drugs.

With that you receive a bear hug that pushes the air out of your lungs. He takes a round shaking hands with you and looking each of you in the eyes. Just in case he will need to find each of you and smear your guts on the streets if you fail. He seems to know about you recent exploits. "If things go wrong, fry them like you did those zombies, that should teach others to fall into line. "

Few minutes later, you find yourself out of the warehouse.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

SV@team>One moment there i was ready to send a few charges of electroshock in his direction, but thank goodness it ended well, you the champ Fractal! By the way check if the big fellow left some bugs on you, they might still be listening and tracking us.< Sam sent in his usual subvocal message as he was not sure Nico had not put some listening bugs on his team mates while hugging them, he himself was clean he had checked already.
"Now we just have to make up a plan how we get them to sign up. I see a lot of legwork coming our way. By the way did he mentioned that we can have just guns and drugs, or are there other equipment as well in for us, would be nice to get some upgrades form my Cyberware time to time." Sam said aloud as there was nothing that would anger the Russians in any way.

Fractal concentrate for a while, paying attention to his less used senses (specially the one he acquired after SURGE). "No worry, it seems. If he had bugged me, I would probably sense it."

Walking in the van's direction, Fractal lets a smile paint his face: "That russian bear seem alright. Tough guy, a little rough around the edges, but so far, so good. Now let's keep this truck rolling, shall we?"

"Do we know anything about this gang? as of yet or are they as new to you as to me?" Sam was thinking loudly, "maybe they are recruiting and one of us, me most likely could get recruited by chance set some charges at their HQ just as a show of strength, small enough not to destroy the building but big enough to let them fill their trousers and they could run to our "BIG BEAR" for some protection."  ;D
noticing that the others are staring at him Sam added "Just an idea if the Legworking has no other more viable options for us, right?"

"I believe your reasoning here is surprising me more than the hug of the russian there." Fractal says, jokingly. "You don't seem the same guy I worked before, hehe."

He continue his walk toward the van, talking calmly with his teammates, believing to be now not so at voice range to the Vory: "No, I don't know much more about they than their name. Until recently they were affiliated with a larger gang, the Fronts, but gone independent - that's everything I remember hearding about them."

Waiting for Omar to open the van, he comments: "Don't you found it a little curious that Nicolai, after saying he could kill just anubody, explicitly said they could kill anyone know whose name started with an M? If that's not a peculiar Russian expression, it's quite strange."

" dunno maybe i have had a detour or you might have one on the memory line. but speaking about our mission, i prefer them to join Nico so we do not have to make a mess, if i truth am am not sure i would take part in it, if it came to that so your share would go up, if you are willing to kill for it." Sam Shrugged "up until now i have been speaking about things that might get us around killing them. You know the rat always leaves the sinking ship, so do gangers when the gang is going down. if the see the los of their leader and then some danger to their lives, they will jump to the first opportunity to protect themselves and we can make sure it is Nico who has the helping hand in it." He laughs a bit " Did you really think i would use explosives to kill? NO WAY! these babies have may uses ad my favorite is to make people believe they are in danger. a few small charges around their HQ maybe one in a Pizza delivery, detonated when noone is around ad they will fear everything that comes near."

Omar speaks once the team is safely seated in the van and he is driving away from this place. For temporarily lack of purposefull target he sets the address he got from that girl...Aurora Warens...
For example "Maria" begins with "M".
Well, I`ve been working with some mercs when Oil pipeline was built in Lagos. We have been improving PR for DeBeer Omnitech, who needed local warlords and tribal kings to approve their operations and possibly provide some of their resources for protection of the line. Our tactics was quite simple. We hit them painfully a few times, usual tribal soldiers cannot stand a chance against us. Then Omnitech representatives offered their corp forces and in a few heroic...simulated...battles, they drove us out and friendship was settled. When this didnt work with target nation, we made something simillar...we chose one of really powerfull and dangerous tribes around, hit them and provided false evidence around that leads to our desired target. There is little in Niger needed to spark a full scale tribal war. As soon as those Badasses began to wawe weapons, our target began to search some allies. locals were far from giving helpfull hand, nobody wanted to get involved in fullscale warfare. At the end almost always they ask for help in DeBeers...who always showed sympathy to those wrongfully accused. Sometimes presence of corps forces was enought to deescalate the conflict, sometimes...well...we fought that war we sparked. What I think is, that IMO this gangs are quite simillar, we have russians instead of the Omnitech.
We may try to scarry them enought to look for the helpfull hand, and then we meet their leaders, speaking Russian`s message, offering those guns that he promissed them...Fractal do you know who will they fear enought to make right move?

"No idea at the time, friends. No idea at all."

The elf leans against the bench, truly relaxing. "What I know is that we should get all the info we can about these guys; which color they wear, how much members they got, what's their 'call' like, and, most importantly, why they have severed ties with the Fronts. Just in knowing we can evaluate better what's the best way to scare the drek out of them, and if scaring them is really that necessary."

He pulls his long hair behind his head, in order to arrange it for him to put on a bandana. Even though the red cloth on his head does not fit that well with the suit the elf is wearing right now, his teammates can remember that there are trodes on this thing.

"I don't believe any of my dudes will have any info on this gang, but there's nothing to lose in asking a few guys. Also, if there's any reason for us to believe we shall storm their place or put fireworks there, we can be studying the neighborhood while we move. Can you - Fractal points to Mouse - got us some satelitte images or camera shots of their base surroundings, kid?"

Instants after this, his body went limp, as his mind dived into the Matrix, searching for any information he could get on the Fronts gang.

Quote from: OOC

First of all, Fractal is using Erik Fjordson commlink and set of programs for this search.
Searching for information on the Fronts: 2 (Data Search) + 5 (Browse) + 2 (Hot Sim VR) = 9 dice = 5 hits, no glitch

Once in the van and Mouse can go full VR, he will scan for any bugs that may have been placed.
He will use a complex form to boost his scan from 3 to 5 (I can buy the hits necessary to update the form and absorb the fading)
Computer(4)+Scan(5)+2TM-->11d6.hits(5)=4
@Team: FYI, I have hacked into their comlinks and communciations. I can also pinpoint their locations. The bad thing is that I don't speak Russian, so I am going to look for a linguasoft program to translate. I did manage to record most of the argument albeit with much distortion. I am working on cleaning it up and piecing that together and with the aid of the linguasoft have a translation for you shortly. The search I did on Maria turned up nothing, so far; but then again, I didn't have long to look.
What kind of Russian translating software can I purchase/hack?
@Team: here are the satellite images you requested. <ARO: map with satellite overlay>

Sam leaned back as all of his team members started to take a nap.
@Team >interesting stuff you are finding here, sorry for being the only one who cannot do a squat in legworking when not o the premises, even Ryker can assense the location while driving.. but i guess my services will be needed later. <
He then Called Miguel Sanchez for a chat, and in the middle dropped the name of the gang Fronts, after that the conversation took a more serious turn, at the ed Sam promised to do some more runs for him next week.
