As the time for the meeting approaches and after several new faces make their way into the building, Debbin pulls his monocycle into the front parking area.  As he exits his vehicle he nods at the security near the door and flashes them a toothy smile.

After he enters the lobby and is directed towards the proper room, Debbin pauses as if to ask the ork a question, but after looking around and remembering is location decides against it, instead just telling the young ork, "Thank you."

As he enters into the room Debbin nods at the ork and human sitting near the table.  As he fully enters the room he jumps a bit when he sees the other ork positioned so near the door.  After he quickly regains his composure, he nods at him as well.  Debbin then takes a seat next to the human female sitting near the table.  Before he sits down he says, "Nice to meet you ma'am.  Name is Debbin, mind if I sit here?"  Without waiting for a response, Debbin sits down and smiles.
That should be 2 success with a single 1 rolled.
Nekomusumi parked out front as she drove up to the meet, and let her tail uncurl from around her. She was fifteen minutes early, but she saw that others had already started to arrive. With catlike grace she strolled into the building, and looked around to get an impression of the area.

She purred slightly as she nodded to the Johnson. "Purrrfect." She knew the effect she had on most metahumans, and had used it to her advantage in the past. For now, though, she simply nodded to the others, and curled up in one of the chairs, reaching up to scratch herself behind one furry cat's ear. For the moment, she kept her eyes hidden behind those goggles she wore. Either she'd had some major transgenic work done, or she was a changeling, that much was clear.

Looking to the others, the asian girl said, "Hello there. You can call me Nekomusumi, or just Neko, if you can't pronounce the full name."

Since Bypass knew he was compromised a while before, he wasnt surprised by guys at the doors, giving them just a brief look. Once inside, he recalls that he possibly should have chcecked this address on shadowrunners BBS, well..he seems terribly careless recently. With the broad smile, almost resigned after last fail, he walked in and took a seat, watching his surrounding like he saw this scene for the first time.

Boris parked his Harley-Davidson Scorpion in the front, within easy viewing angle from the door. He walks heavily through the front doors, nodding at the young ork in the lobby and giving the name "Boris". He walks into the conference room and takes note of his surroundings.

He sizes up the bodyguards, and decides that he would prefer to remain standing.

Not planning to cause trouble, but I can't remember the last time anyone's ever won a fight sitting down.

He stands towards the end of the table, making sure he can see both the Johnson and the door he came in from. He folds his massive arms across his chest and surveys the room, moving his gaze slowly back and forth.

Boris speaks in a voice that can only be described as gravel being poured into the gears of some great machine. It also has a surprising wheezy tone to it, giving everyone a slight case of the chills.

"Hello. I am Boris. I am here for work."

His gaze went over the people in the room, measuring everyone, and finally rested on a woman he thought he recognized. He flashed a smile at her and grinned. "Ola, chica! If I'd known you'ze was runnin' the shadows here, I'd have visited this place earlier. You still got that costume you wore in Kung Fu Mage? You know, the one with the...". He finished with a wink and a snicker.

"If I had a nuyen for every time I was asked that, I wouldn't have to run the shadows," Sammy said, before turning to Nekomusumi.
"Good evening," she said, "I'm Sammy."
She had seen and worked with changelings before, so she wasn't really surprised.  As the girl registered as an adept, she assumed it wasn't an implant, as they wreaked havoc with your magical mojo.

Butcher walked in. Simply. He looked around. Gangs colors didn't really mattered to him. He registered the general tension in the auras. Lot's of people here Not knowing really were to go or say or do, and afraid to say anything, he found an orc near the door. He moved toward him. Like a fish in aquarium, find a matching species and swim in swarms for safety.

Butcher got himself on the toughttrain was it Baltic sea or the North sea?  that a species of awakaned Clupea harengus, they called it ghost herring, that travels in groups of hundreds, but create illussionary copies of themselves so it seems there hundreds of thousands of them. For the same reason - there is a safety in swarms. He looked at the ork standing beside him I wonder what he would say if i told him we look like fishes. He smiled to himself.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Nekomusumi smiled at Sammy. "Nice to meet you, Sammy." She didn't recognize the woman, but apparently, the other guy knew her from some trid or other. Of course, Nekomusumi didn't tend to watch too many things made by gaijin. Not when there was an endless supply of anime straight from Japan she could get through the matrix. Her tail swept back and forth behind her back, sticking out from under the lined coat she wore, seemingly with a mind of its own.

MuttPlease tell me in OOC how you're "looking for drones within a block" of the meeting. I can think of several ways, some requiring major tests. I will allow retroactive action on this - put it in your next post and note where in the story it fits.

To continue the story I'm going to assume you do a basic matrix perception to look at the local node and non-hidden nodes connected to it for basic information. I'm going to present this two ways.

a) Nothing stands out.

b)  When you do so you see a few dozen drones; identifying themselves as cleaning and maintenance and toys and security and education and medical drones.

Clue: You've done the equivalent of a mage running "detect life" outside an apartment building. In a better neighborhood you'd probably see magnitudes more as every family would have at least a couple, and the apartment complexes and storekeepers would have a few, plus the street maintenance and advertising and law enforcement drones. There might be something there, but you have to tell me how you intend to narrow it.

With everyone present, the dark-skinned dwarf begins to speak.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. I am, as I am certain you have surmised, Mr. Johnson. We have a problem, and we need your help overcoming it."

He pauses, closing his eyes briefly. Opening them again he leans forward slightly, placing his clasped hands on the table. "I am 72 years old, ladies and gentlemen. I was born within a few blocks of where we now sit. I was ten when VITAS swept through. Two years later a lynch mob killed my baby sister because she wasn't human. Killed my father who was trying to defend her. My mother survived only because we were still a neighborhood, barely, and someone cared enough to try.

I left early to join the marines. Ran away, really, and that probably saved my life since I wasn't here when I changed. But I never forgot Mrs. Adel, or Mr. Shwartz. I didn't become rich but managed to make a little money. Three years ago I came back to try to do for my home what the Adels and Shwartz's did for my family. To care. To try and help it recover. I have no more money; it's gone to a thousand and more things big and little here. And it has been making a difference.

When I came back, what had been my home was divided between two feuding gangs fighting over a pair of suffering ghettos. I persuaded - bribed, bullied, pleaded, and even forced - a truce between the greenbacks and the gallos. Persuaded them to be part of their home instead of parasites. I encouraged their mothers and uncles and the other refugees to quit hiding; to teach, to reach out, ... to hope.  And it was working. Until the Red Circle got involved.

We've dealt with gangs trying to expand before. We've dealt with the ones doing it because they want more territory, the ork haters and the troll haters and the humanis and the rest. The truce forged got a boost as both gangs realized it doubled their manpower and ability to withstand these. In the past year, until a few months ago, all the neighboring gangs had given up.  heh - one's even considering joining us in more peaceful fashion.

The Red Circle is a humanis gang, and at first we though it was going to be just the same. Then they ...
"

He pauses again, and his throat works a couple of times.

"They're armed. And they're trained. And they're competely amoral. They don't fight like gangbangers. They fight like soldiers, almost like marines, except they hit shops and homes as well. They came in and put up signs saying this was their territory now. They hit the greenbacks, and ambushed the gallos who responded. A quarter of the kids are dead, and half of those left are walking wounded. They hit some of our shops. Then they burned out one of the schools we tried to start. We lost more kids, this time children.

"They left an ultimatum at the rubble. The left me an ultimatum, as leader of the community of Venetian Hills.  Surrender. Accept our place as animals and servants under 'real' humans. Give up, or die."

"Lonestar won't help. To them it's just another gang war and as long as it doesn't spill into the sinners it doesn't matter to them. Not unless we can pay their fee, anyway. And we can't.

We don't have much. We pooled our nuyen, sold some things, and I've got 13,478Ą. It's all we have in cash. We can offer you some benefits; a place to sleep, to hide, to unload things that are too hot to keep. We are a recognized Atlanta community, we can issue some local level IDs and licenses saying you're one of us. It's not huge, I know, but it's all we've got.

We're asking you to stop the Red Circle, in any way you can, so they cannot stop us from being a community of people.

Please."

Debbin listens intently as Mr. Johnson tells his tale.  Once he finishes, Debbin speaks up, I sympathize with your plight Mr. Johnson, really I do but 13,478 is kind of low, though adding in the other benefits kick that up another tier.  At this Debbin leans closer to the Johnson.  What kind of discounts are we talking about on the IDs and what percentage on the things that are "two hot to keep?"

Nekomusumi twitched slightly at the story. While she didn't care much for metahumans, she'd been removed from Japan long enough that she'd lost some of her cultural disdain for them, especially since she herself had changed. The idea of having a place to hide when things got tough, or a place to fence certain things, was appealing to her. And there was always the chance that they could find some 'interesting' paydata or items while they were dealing with the Red Circle. Sitting back in her chair, she watched Debbin at work, figuring him for a face.

Boris stands immobile at the end of the table, thinking about the job.

Doesn't sound like a lot of money. Lots of people at this table all looking for a piece of it. ID's are nice though. And it is always good to have people in the sprawl owe me favors.

If they are as hateful towards metas as they sound, they might try to get a piece of Boris next. Better to smash them while they are small.

Boris stands silent, waiting for negotiations to progress.

Sammy was about to speak up when the person next to her did.  Well, let him do the talking for now, she thought.  She could always come in later should it become necessary.  She didn't mind taking a run like that as she had been working with metahumans on stage and of stage quite extensively and racism was a lot less present in Horizon.

Retroactive Action.
Before Mr. Johnson begins talking, he places two objects on the table and turns them on; a white noise generator, and an area jammer. Both are strong enough that most of your signal devices are blocked. (R4).
I have this in my notes and forgot. If it would change your actions you are allowed to correct.

Retroactive Information.
Sammy did an astral perception examination of Mr. Johnson.
Emotionally, Mr. Johnson is a tangle, with relief and fear dominating but sorrow close behind. You see shadows in his essence, in his head; definite signs of 'ware. Health? The ills of being old; rheumatism, early cataracts, some cirrhosis of the liver, some dead tissue in the heart and lungs. For a dwarf of 72 he's not in good shape for his age. For a human which he was for the first couple of decades of his life, he's... below average.

Bypass listened maybe for two first sentences...then he switched to VR and begin to browse favourite news feeds. When notices Red Circle mentioned, his heart rejoiced...at least something he can keep himself bussy with. He immediately started datasearch on this topic, looking for whatever informations he is able to gather ASAP. He isnt really interrested in negotiations, any payment would be good as any. His problem for last few days was lack of focus, total boredom. He even didnt run with his favourite MMORPG with his guild, as he was completely disgusted by a few things that happened recently. NOW... this Red Circle, tis was something that sparked interrest in him, and once this happens, Bypass was difficult to give up before he get the job done. He almost didn`t noticed that jammer on the table, serriously, this must apply to possible intruders, not him.

"Sorry amigo, don't they teach you marines that flowers and kisses ain't worth mierda against guys with guns? You come here, make the gangs hug, kiss and make up and now you's surprised they don't have the cojones anymore to fight for what's theirs? Sounds like they've gone soft, hombre. Gangs can smell that kinda weakness from miles away."
Rafa grinned, chin forward and looked the bodyguards straight in the eyes, daring them to prove him wrong. He didn't like the low amount of money and liked the fact that whoever was doing the talking was asking what they should be paying for ID's while they should be getting them for free even less.
"And now you throw pocket change our way and beg us to solve your problems? What's to stop others from making their move when word hits the streets that you need to bring in outside help to protect your own turf? You've got bigger problems than just some humanis goons on your doorstep, hombre."

[OOC: Gangs knowledge (7d6.hits(5)=4) - What's Rafa know about the gangs mentioned?
As for intent of actions: Rafa is actually trying to aid in negotiations by letting the Johnson know that his job hasn't been sold yet and isn't paying much and by bluffing (or showing) that he knows what he's talking about... Showing those coward trolls & orks how soft they've become is a nice extra. If accepted as aid: Cha 2, First Impression 2, Negotiation 1 (5d6.hits(5)=1)]
