It's a hard thing, breaking into a new field of work.  You'll spend countless hours paying your dues, making new friends, and doing all the jobs no one else wants.  All in the hope that your break will arrive, and someone sends that job your way that solidifies your rep.  Running is no different . . . well, it certainly involves more weapons than normal wage-slaving.  So when you got a call from one of your friends saying there was a team being put together, you jumped at the chance.  After all, this could be the job that makes you.  But before the job even starts, you've got to meet with your potential new allies.

And that's why you're here now, at Laubenstein Plaza.  Not that the wonderful, priceless pieces of art don't make it a nice reason to visit.  However, the meeting place isn't in the Plaza itself.  Too public, too bright, understand?  The call you got told you to meet one floor under, at Laubenstein Lights.  It's a popular nightspot: nice drinks and good music.  But don't worry, chummer, you'll have plenty of time to meet and greet before the place gets crowded.  It's only 2 in the afternoon after all.  As you descend the steps, and enter the Lights, you're greeted by a mostly empty room, decorated heavily in a Neo-Deco style.  There's the bar to the right, with an ork tending to it.  Lined around the edges, against the walls are chairs and tables.  It's not unusual to see a nightspot deserted during the day.  The guy you're here to meet is called Wyrmtongue.

Sitting in a corner to the left of the room, nursing a drink, is the man you've come here for.  At least, you hope he is.  But let's not jump to conclusions, chummer.  Be friendly, be professional, and you could be part of a team that will make a lot of nuyen.  Aside from the gentleman in the corner, and the ork bartender, it seems you're the first to arrive.  Let's try to make a good first impression, neh?

3BB&FL0 walks up to the bartender and orders a whiskey waiting to see if other people who look like runners walk in.

Sugoi arrives shortly after Ebb, looking like a new age samurai with a leather coat and katana, sheathes and eloquent looking with no guard on it...so it kind of looks like a curved cane. He goes up what he hopes is the man he is suppose to meet, for a badass he is quite humble so he comes over a bit timid, bows. "Wyrmtongue-sama?" he looks at the guy with his eyes lowered at the man nursing the drink. If it's wyrm he'll have a seat and order nothing.

I'll try to post again further tonight....if needed

Wyrmtongue was indeed sitting in the corner, nursing that drink. It was odd, out here away from his people, how much of metahuman society revolved around getting drunk to some degree or another. He'd had some time to acclimate to life in the sprawl (if you could call it that), but the shadows were new to him. At least Lenora had been able to send him a list of names of local runners that might be able to help out with the gig she'd lined up for him.

He fingered the handle of one of the two Predators tucked under his coat. That was another strange situation in itself. He really did like this spell, he decided. As the samurai approached him, he nodded his head. "Hai. I am glad you could make it."

Father Fury walks into Laubenstein Lights and casts a look around. He's wearing an armor jacket, and a huge revolver in a holster hanging on his pants, along with a small gold crucifix dangling on his chest. Spotting the samurai and elf in the corner, he figures the only ones around are the other runners he's meeting for the gig. He'd hoped that one or more of his acquaintances from the fighting circuit would be with him on his first job, but he was willing to take what he could get.

"The name's Fury. I think I'm supposed to meet a Mr. Wyrmtongue here. One of you him?"

APDS ammo in my revolver, in case it comes up.

Wyrmtongue nodded to Fury. "That would be me. New to the shadows, and a friend called about some paying work. She also had a list of names of local talent who might be able to help with that work. Have a seat, please."

Kris gets the message about work and decides to dress herself in Urban attire, considering the meeting point.  She loads up her SIN on her dummy-com, hides her working commlink in her jacket pocket, holsters her Ares Crusader then ships out.

Kris comes about 5 minutes late, but noticing there are still only runners sitting around she lets out a sight of relief.  Joining the existing crew, she speaks, "I'm looking for a Mr.Wyrm? Is this the right party?"

Hawk walks into Laubenstein Lights dressed in simple attire.  Noticing the small group in the corner he makes his way over to them.  He walks slowly, each step rising and falling with studied deliberation.  Along the way he lets his eyes take in the group.

"I take it I'm in the right spot? I'm Hawk."

The door opens.  It appears there is no one there until what looks like a black house cat slips in though the open door.  It does a quick scan looking for AR labels and spots Kris.

@kris
He sends an AR text saying:  Are you Wyrmtounge?  I heard you were looking for a rigger.
Its open so anyone with active AR can see it

Entering Laubenstein, Predator is dressed in corporate chic wearing a Zoe business suit. Taking notice of those gathered in the corner, she moves to the bar and takes a seat, ordering a drink via AR as she does so, and keeps watch on those assembled for some clue as to whom the contact is.

The cat wasn't real, he could see that much from the astral without trying, which helped with the urge to snap it up. "As I said, I am Wyrmtongue. A friend of mine has work to do, and I needed some muscle and associated skills to complement my own. If we are all here now, I've already contacted my friend, who should be sending word to Mr. Johnson as we speak. I thought it would be best for us all to meet ahead of time, to get an idea of team strengths and weaknesses. If you would each be so kind as to give a name and a basic description of what your abilities are, that should make things go easier once we move into the meet proper." There's a pause, as though he was waiting for someone else to speak up, and then he said, "Very well, I'll begin. I am Wyrmtongue, as you know. I am what you might call a face. I have a little shamanic magic to help, but it is not well suited for combat, I'm afraid."

Kris is an obvious elf female, dressed in torn but form fitting black and white urban attire, cloth overlapping each other to make a contemporary pattern; she has a set of headphones around her neck.  She has ear length blonde hair and blue eyes, she looks very young, but with the slight extra elven height it's hard to be sure.

Kris decided to speak up next, "Kris, hacker primary, gunner secondary. I'm also a decent infiltrator if you need those occasional direct link hacking.  Don't know about weaknesses, guess you could say I'm not much of a talker.".  Kris then pulls her datajack from the back of her left ear and hooks it up to her business commlink.

Listening as the others give their aliases and specialties, Predator subtly eyes each one in turn as they do so before pushing back her now-empty drink and approaching the assemblage, taking a seat and saying. "Call me Predator. I'm mainly good if things get hairy enough to need to fight our way out, but I know a bit that I could give the computer specialists some assistance."
