We got teahouse tapped, kid is in their node right now, doing his kind of matrix mojo. Nothing important otherwise...maybe...we have Knight who is slowly turning to ghoul. I spared his life, dont ask me why, and he waits down there for further instructions, I told him that we can at least make him appear as a hero so his family gets the insurance paycheck. I also told him that we are investigating accusation that local Yaks are dealintg in human flesh with those infected down in the tunnels. maybe we can use this later. What you got from the bitch?

"Wait, what?" - Omar really knows how to be direct, damn. So now they've got another issue to solve (Fractal thinks that once you put yourself into something, it may probably become your problem); but that do not think like a solvable problem right now. "Look, Omar, I don't figure head or tails about this ghoul situation... Maybe we can use it, alright, but so far, I have no idea on what to think of the whole deal." He shrugs.

"Well, about Mayuri, things are both easier and harder than before: a deception, at least one in the way I was thinking before, like making her seem as if a marriage had already occured, is out of option. This Yaks are worse than they normal bunch, and are honor-crazy; Mayuri is valuable only if her honor is spotless clean, any pace out of the line and she is better off dead, and these Japs are quick to squeeze their fingers on the trigger. Also, if they discover that what motivates her to leave is an Yak small-fry, then we have another corpse, and a still bound and not-very happy geisha. Our moves are quite limited."

"Still, there is two people which can free our human data from her bounds: the Okā-san of the house and the Yakuze lieutnant from the area; the latter seem to be a common jerk, and I couldn't find any way to strike a deal with him... Maybe the kid will be luckier than me. But the former... it seems to me that I can maybe convince her with what I already have: according to Mayuri's impression on her (and I trust her impressions), the old lady is an honorable lady, but she has a tired old soul who longs for her former geisha days - a lot of emotional and egothistical content is in the deal with her, and that's something I can work around... after all, it would be a talk among two artists, and although she is dwindling due to age, I'm on my prime."

Local Yakuza lieutnant...hm...
well
What is the possition of her so called lover? Won`t we be able to make him climb a bit on tzhe ladder? Maybe by removing those above him? Because they died or...hm...because they lost theitr honor because they are involved in dealing with ghouls?

"I guess it's possible... But I doubt we could do it into the alloted timeframe without rising suspicions. And I don't yet know his rank, all I know is that, quoting Mayuri, 'he is in no position to make demands'. And that, if she is valuable to the Yakuza, and they would rather have her alive, nothing on the matter was said about him..."

Well...if that man makes it to the top ranks of local Yaks during 24 hours, there would be nobody left to be suspicious...everyone will be licking his ass. And he would be free to demand Mayuri released from Teahouse. Even to become his own private pleasure toy. Or lover.
Ikoro
Reminds me Kirillovs daughter and that gang clown. Looks like Denver if full of desperate lovers. Not talking about Flynn dont in the cellar.

@Team: I defused a databomb on the master node; however, the encryption will take too long to break. I can monitor traffic on the network itself. I can get access to an asortment of devices: cameras, microphones, motion sensors, and smoke detectors. It would also be possible to do some sniffing of network traffic if you feel up to it Unca Omar.

Mouse will attempt to group the devices into the rooms by which they monitor. I would expect the regular rooms to contain a camera, microphone, and maybe a smoke detector. His most likely target to hack first would be the room with the most devices.
Quote
Luck Roll: Edge(2) x 2= 4d6.hits(5)=2

From there he will proceed to hack the camera feed and/or microphone feed:
Quote
Hack on the fly (user priv for now): (I can get an automatic 4 successes and his stealth prog is R10)
Hacking(4) + Exploit Spec(2) + Exploit(10) + 2TM - 2Sustaining= 16d6.hits(5)=5
16d6.hits(5)=8

Basicaly, you need to score on average 6 hits to hack on user priviledges.
with your dicepools, you got 8 hits on average in 2 initiative passess.
the peripheral get 4 dicepool on average per pass, meaning it can score at most 8 hits which is not enough to beat your stealth.

hacking on admin, is more tricky, since you need 3 passess on average to hack it. which has a minimal chance of you being detected (the peripheral have in total 15 dices on most difficult peripheral (rating 5), and need to score 10 hits on that). They will eventually, but not anytime soon, and there is not even the need for you to hack on admin all of the peripherals.

Within couple of minutes, Mouse had the peripherals scanned and visited. There are devices in each room and corridors except for the basement and bathrooms. There are sets including both smoke and motion detectors, cameras (with both visual enhancement and thermovision), microphones (with sound enhancements) and white noise generators. The peripherals include also maglocks on the two pairs of doors, wired landline terminal and internal lighting controller. External nodes are present linking to the motion detectors in the rock garden and cameras facing perimeter. Inside you find two of the rooms occupied. One with tea ceremony in progress for some high level corporate suits and the other being a kind of social room where three of the geishas (one of them Mayuri) and two yakuza bodyguards that are sitting engaged in some small talk and a mahjong game. All of them are quite relaxed. There is a third guard near the door.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

"I would suggest, we start moving. Go around the area where Madame Kikuya and Mr. Yoshiro currently work and/or life. Might, the locals there have some rumors or so, which can help us.

Maybe see, if it's possible to break into their office, preferable Mr. Yoshiros, to find some blackmail-usable data. "

"We don't have  Mr. Yoshiro office address - we would wait for the kid to try to discover any hint of it - and, he being he who is, it is bound to be protected by a bunch of well-armed Yaks, I guess. And I doubt we could uncover much on that bar he most probably is... but, you gave me another idea. A desperate one, so I would like to use it just as plan C; the other guys will remember this."

"We could use the same strategy we used with Erik Fjordson, do you remember? Capture him, then impersonate him and leave him somewhere else with amnesia and a bad hangover... during his dissapeared time, he could make some strange orders - it would be nice to make them more than one, if we just let Mayuri free, it would call to much attention to this particular situation. It's possible, but highly risky."

"I'm still betting on convincing Kikuya-san."

I'll watch the tea ceremony in progress. If the camera is in a position to get snap shots of the yakuza big wigs, I'll get as many of them as I can. He'll watch the geisha for any subtle communications durning the tea ceremony as he starts recording once he realizes that he has accessed a tea ceremony room.

Out of curiosity, is there anything monitoring the cellar?

@Team: not much going on in the peripherals. A tea ceremony <<ARO: the ceremony in progress framed by enhance stills of the big whigs in it>> and a common room with some geishas engaged in idle talk and a mahjong game. Mayuri being one of them. <<ARO: a rough map of teahouse with gaurds and persons of note plotted.>> Ya know, we still haven't determined what the price of her freedom may be. Perhaps we could exchange favors?

Fractal leans against the seat, thinking for a while... Nothing changes: he realizes that he is too obsessed with talking Kikuya in liberating Mayuri. He has a really difficult time figuring other strategies... and he always regarded himself as a flexible guy!

@Team: Ya know, we still haven't determined what the price of her freedom may be. Perhaps we could exchange favors?

@Mouse: "Boy, prices are only being decided when there's a negotiation in progress. We still don't know if things will go that way. I'd rather they don't - we are payed to free Mayuri, and the better way for us to do that is in the most resource and trouble-free way we can arrange. It's quite possible that we can convince someone to just let her go - either by reasoning, by being emotionally manipulative or by blackmail. I think our route right now is that one. Anyway, have you already looked upon Kikuya, Yoshiro and Iijima? After we get info on them, we will have a more stable ground on which to plan and make assumptions."

Karmen picked up immediately Hoi, Lips. Guten tag? bloody hell with that tounge breaker. Been some time. Looking for work? You can see that she is talking through the VR - her icon in place of the video feed. Probably driving somewhere jumped in.

"Then you might enjoy this one 'Grüß dich, wie hast du das.' and for the second part, I'm actually in the middle of something. If you eventually can spare some seconds: My friends and my humble self are looking for intel about two Yakzua called Shijeo Iijima and Yoshiro, working around this tea house in [current location]. It's not your actual métier, I know, but I hoped you could refer us to someone whose it is."

For some reason the connection was broken...

After several minutes of fiddling with the commlink, Lips managed to log on to his matrix account again. By that time Karmen has tried three times to call back and given up. She picked up immediately as you call again..

"you were saying.. Shijeo Iijima and Yoshiro?... I've run few searches on my contacts meanwhile. Nothing on the first one of the latter I only heard he is Yakuza, got him tagged 'extortion' and 'avoid' but honestly I don't remember how he even got into my books. Still if I heard he must have been more than than a common soldier but no one from the front page news... Hope this helped. Driving off the grid, so I could loose signal, call me back next week, I might have a job for you." The connection was broken again.
Sorry for a small delay ;)

What about saved audio/video feeds? Something usefull?
Not wasting too much time, Omar dials Diamonds commcode, since he has a few questins on detective...
"Hi Jack. Haha. I love how that sounds. Hijack. Heh. Enought jesting, sorry. Jack, Id like to ask you about thing or three. First, did you ever heard about Flynn McDowall, shield number 24982. He seems to be one of yours. Second...I believe you are well aware about Yakuza clans here in denver. Id need a few hints on two guys operating on local scene: Shijeo Iijima and some Yoshiro guy. And third...and I know this would be very very stupid question so you can pretend you never herd that if you want...you have a man inside their local branch we may be able to meet or at least talk to?"

You know me Fractal. I still wonder how many people would we need to kill to get that man on the top possition/ give hiom at least good possition so he can ask this special price...read Mayuri...from his boss.
And...well...how fast would we be able to kill those guys and what means we use to do so...I can see Sam blowing a few cars and appartements, some sniping, some cutted throats, scorched hotsim...you know...blood trail.

Omar was a bit sarcastic on his last words, making fun from his always polite and peacefull  teammates, which Fractal quickly recognizes, well on the other side, Omar apparently consides this as a clear and fast solution appropriate for the situation...

That Fjordsson example was nice, well I dont think that Fjordsson`s personal integrity was anywhere close to the guy, who is able to cut his stomach open because of wrong choice of words when speaking with his supperior.
