Fractal preferred to act on the flesh than on Matrix; but there was one thing he missed about having his mind diving on the digital collective hallucination of nodes, data and connections: the speed. Often he had imagined if people like Sam, with their enhanced reflexes, felt the same in the flesh as he does on the 'trix. Now he was envying them. So little time, so much to do.
His first action after finding himself in the corridor was to determine he had only one chance to do it right. Seeing the two doors, he concluded that the prize should be on the better guarded one, and so that's today's bet. He almost casually touches the maglock interface, hoping for it to be connected to his PAN by his skinlinked equipments. @Team: "Guys, are we still in touch? Well, forget all you're doing. This gotta be fast. There's a maglock here, I think it may be connected to my PAN via skinlink. I could try to hack it, but you can do it faster from your position. Move it!"
Hoping that the guys could make their move fast enough, with the other arm Fractal grabs Sunshine by the waist and pull her closer. A movement with a lot of implications and objectives: not only the elf likes having a female's body close to his, but this way they are both closer to the door and could jump inside if the team manage to open the door, and in doing this, they would be at least a little less visible than they are right now.
Fractal would hate to admit it, but if all else fails, then the girl's body would also serve as protection. But one who can lie to others can also lie to himself.
"Just don't let your clothes lying here pointing to where we are. This is supposed to be an intimate moment, no need for anyone to come looking, Sunshine."
