>>>>>[ Unhappy only begins to describe it, Miri. You may just lose another limb when I get out of here tomorrow. And if you don't take definite steps to soften my displeasure, oh childish one, the limb I cut off might be one that matters sorely. Never mess with a Spanish woman.  :-* Unless you enjoy playing with fire, of course. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Oh, don't worry, Xerena, I'll be good. When you get out, we'll have a day or two in Metropole, and then we're on a flight to New Orleans. Oh, and our clothes have already been mended, so we're good on that account. And I still have our 'souvenirs', see? A matched set of dragon fangs. Though we probably shouldn't wave them around outside the hospital. If the dragon had kin, they might get a wee bit upset with us. As if we needed anyone else on our tails.

By the way, my dear, did you know that your hair looks stunning in that tank?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Don't listen to him. I"m quite enjoying this on several levels. Primarily the fact that it reminds me of the base Zen Philosophy: "No matter what, there will always be darkness in light, and light in the darkness." A key principle of the Yin and the Yang.

Another level is that you two are fracking adorable together it seems. I'd suggest mariage, but I'm not sure how long Ice would last before getting himself a bad case of "battelth (or however that's spelled) to the head."

Speaking of relationships, you keeping in contact with your naga friend Murph?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Don't worry, Chrona. We'll take anything that develops behind closed doors. Whether there will be trid footage that makes its way here is up to Xerena. A gentleman never does something like that without the lady's consent.

Murphy, keep your own meat as long as you can. Honestly, I wouldn't suggest anything more than some wired reflexes or maybe skillwires, unless you get hurt. Bioware is much easier on your aura, but it is also more expensive. Take it from someone who actually worked corpsec for a while. People with large holes in their aura get a LOT of extra scrutiny if there's a security mage in the area.

Card, I'm not so much worried about catching a bat'leth  to the head, except as a result of business. I have an image of a playboy Tir exile/male escort to play, afterall, which can be rough on relationships. Even if a lady understands that it is simply business, some of them don't like to share, even if I tell them that there's a difference between my job and my personal life. That's one of the down-sides of playing a cover. Sometimes, people don't see the difference between the cover and you.]<<<<<

Murphy, as someone with cyber implants, I'll second his advice to you.  I'm hoping to eventually pull in enough cred to get the metal replaced with the bio implants and then go in for that new revitalization treatment.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Nice attitude, Card. In this business, it helps to see the silver lining behind the black cloud. It fact, it's downright essential. You have to keep a sense of humour, or you'll drop into darkness. Cry when you have to, but never forget to laugh too. And especially, to laugh at yourself. Bit soon to speak of marriage though...although I appreciate the vote of confidence. Certainly there will be sparks. Remember...I may carry a bat'leth, but Miri carries a blade. One I made. He'll be more than capable of keeping my bat'leth at bay.  :P

And Miri...the lady would consent to the making of the trid footage, but definitely not to its distribution. I too have an image to uphold. All I can can say is...you have very strange taste if you think my hair looks stunning in this tank. It looks like a black and white virus, or maybe an amoeba. Argh! I've never managed to keep it tamed.

Business is business. The trick with balancing the requirememts of business and personal is to know the person involved very well. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ah, Xerena. You're quite mistaken, of course. The way it is floating around you makes you look like some kind of water nymph, wild and free. Quite beautiful. But there's me waxing romantic again. One of the benefits of getting a decent exposure to the arts as a child.

Thank you, Predator. It is not something I would have done if the dragon had given me a choice, however. We were lucky, simply put. The blade struck true, and our magics combined with the weapons of our team were enough to bring the dragon down. But it was not an easy battle. I've looked over the recording from my simrig. I think it captures the sense of panic well, and the frantic way we were just trying to do something, anything to survive the fight, though the spirit's feelings on the matter weren't captured. I can honestly say I wasn't sure we would live through that one.

Though I can honestly say I don't know where the spirit got the idea to jump on the dragon's back, and stab it between the wing joints. Effective, though, since it kept the thing grounded long enough for the rest to take it down.

Hell, if it wasn't a sure way to get myself killed, I could probably make a small fortune distributing this clip.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Well, just got finished 'debriefing' with a representative from the military. Very polite for an anaconda shifter. I gave her the basic rundown on the mission, leaving out names and any operational specifics, of course. The fact that apparently we put a major hurt on the Big A's forces in the area seems to have tickled a few scales around here. At least, that's what the scuttlebutt around the hospital is. Managed to talk my way into the Officer's Club on base last night, and a few drinks got me a the latest gossip.

Heading over to Xerena's room now. She's due to get out of the tank today, and I thought we'd spend a day on Metropole's beaches before catching a flight to NO and sharing a couple drinks with you, Wolf. I mean, you really can't stop by Metropole without at least visiting the beaches once. And then we'll be there to take you up on that week in Pensacola, while my new parts get up to full speed. Then we're heading up the well to Evo's resort.

It'll be the second time I've vacationed there. At some point, I would LOVE to take a trip to the big ZO, but even I know I'm nowhere near important enough to get that trip.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ You know...it's the weirdest thing. Miri got entirely new limbs and I just got some new muscles to replace the cooked ones...but he's mobile before I am. I'll have to use an exoskeleton for a while until my rehab is complete. I had to threaten to brain the doctor before he'd let me out. No way I'm staying in here. Damnit, I'm a trained doctor myself. I know what will and won't work. Checked myself out.

I look forward to meeting you, Wolf. It'll be interesting to meet another wolf totem.

Oh! I got those new SINs. And made arrangements for "Xerena Veracruz" to meet an untimely end.

I think this will be the last run I take for a while. I came out of semi-retirement for it...and now that its done, I find I didn't miss it so much. Except for that dragon...and that first bit of the run...it was pretty par for the course. How I miss my little microlab and my shop...  ]<<<<<
