>>>>>[Sending a spirit to kill mundanes is not a new approach. I've known several mages who prefer to do such things. It is difficult for a powerful spirit to be harmed by a mundane, unless they are carrying heavy weapons, or have a melee weapon and the strength of a troll. I am sure Smiley can tell you that, unless the job says otherwise, you don't go trying to assassinate someone by means they can effectively resist. Someone with a toxin filter is not someone you want to poison. Someone renowned for his skill with a blade is not someone you want to cross swords with. Someone who can shoot the wings off a fly at twenty paces is not someone you want to get in a gunfight with. Spirits are a good choice for this kind of job, since both Money and Murphy are mundane. It would be interesting to see if there were any Awakened on this list. If not, it simply proves that this assassin is smart, as well as being a competent summoner. Now if this hitter was a free spirit, that would be more disturbing.
Ferret, could you send me that list? I would like to check a few things on my end.
In other news, the starlet is progressing nicely, and Wolfgar arrived last night. Only had one cavity search by the border patrol, he said. My wards are strong enough to keep out weak spirits, and I will know if anything stronger punches its way through. Xerena is still here as well, so there is a strong collection of Awakened talent here, so we should be safe, if our names are on the list.]<<<<<
