Big, BIG thank you to Hawatari for arranging the swim with the Meistersingers. That was truly magical. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ok. Nice breakfast, some painkillers, and several cups of coffee (the real stuff, straight from Hawaii, not that soycaf drek), and I'm somewhat lucid now. Knew when I asked Smiley to be best man, there was going to be one hell of a party, but I didn't know it was going to be that big! For those of you who saw the Cara'sir news, yes, that was me riding on the elephant in an impromptu parade, dressed like someone out of the Arabian Nights. Later on, there was a Persian-themed get-together, with dancing girls and... well, we won't go into the details in public. Later on, Smiley blindfolds me, says he's got a surprise. Find myself in an arena, facing the rat bastard responsible for the Arcanix... well, there's no other word for it than massacre. Anyways, there's me, so drunk I can barely hold a sword, and this suit who clearly barely knew which end of the sword to hold. Not my best fight, honestly. But I'm here, and that bastard isn't. Best gift I could have gotten at a bachelor's party.

So, now that my brain's working again, time to get to work. Got to make sure everything's ready. For those of you who are coming to the ceremony, remember formal dress, and it will be at 3PM, at St.Sebastian's. Dierdre will be singing at the wedding, so you're in for a treat.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ It's about to start! Auntie Zee hasn't arrived yet, but I've never heard of a wedding that started strictly on time. Quite the collection of grand poohbahs here, all trying their best to out-class and out-snoot everyone else. The usual. I can see Iceblade standing out in front with his entourage. All very prim and proper in his dress uniform. There's barely a sign of his wild night. I'll post some more once the bridal procession starts. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Know I'll probably get killed for this later, but this lovely pic is of Xerena, right after she saw I switched priests. Instead of the guy who was there for the rehearsal, I brought in the old priest she knew from her Azzie-hunting days. Managed to persuade him by paying for the plane tickets, and arranging for a large supply of liquors and 'consumer goods' from non-Azzie sources to find their way into his parish. You know, things that can be easily distributed for favors as is, or fenced for nuyen quickly, especially in a market like Aztlan, where they don't like letting in products from other countries, especially the Tir. <<<Picture of Xerena in her wedding dress, with Wolfgar walking her down the aisle>>>

Just wanted to share that. I'll spill more when we're on the way to the reception.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ No. You will not be killed. You will be entirely forgiven for that. Oh, Miri...you have no idea what it meant to me to have old Cristobal there. You could not have made it more perfecto had you tried. I hated that old man back then...but only because he was always right. Oh, and he'll make good use of those supplies, I can assure you.

And thank you to you too, Wolfgar. You played your part to perfection.

Feeling a bit naked without that Bat'leth, but...well, with Hawatari around, I don't need it, do I? Let me speak to Lily for a bit...]<<<<<

>>>>>[Right. Ceremony is out now, so I thought I'd take a moment to give some of the highlights. Xerena and others will fill in what I miss, undoubtedly. As I said earlier, Dierdre was there, singing Spanish and Elven songs during the ceremony. Just before the ceremony began, a spirit of Air arrived, bearing well wishes from Prince Hestaby. I was surprised to see that it was the same spirit I'd asked to deliver the invitation I sent her. For those of you who are wondering, yes, the spirit did stay for the ceremony, before returning with a letter I wrote to Prince Hestaby. No, I'm not telling you what I wrote.

As Ysoni said, most of the crowd was from the nobility. There were a few members of the gentry there, but they were for the most part with one or the other of the nobles. I was very happy that Master Rimaldo could make it, and in addition to my parents, both my brothers were there, with their wives, and Garrett's kids. Prince Taylor showed up (as did, coincidentally, a reporter from the TTPF's internal newsletter). The members of my old unit were there as well, which was great, since I hadn't seen some of them in a while. There were some other big names, but Jeanette Twenten (from Twenten's in Puyallup) came to support Xerena.

Really, the ceremony itself was a simple thing, combining Spanish and civil traditions. A traditional wedding, all told, without the real craziness you see in some ceremonies. My niece Leanna got to be a flower girl, which for a six year old girl is a big thing, as you might imagine. She was smiling ear to ear the whole time.

Anyways, we're in the middle of driving back to Seattle, so we can make it to the reception at Penumbra. I know some of you may have had trouble getting into the Tir for the ceremony, but remember you're all on the list for the reception. Dress is 50s 'runner chic', and if you bring weapons, either leave them at the door, or have them peace-bonded. Party starts at 20:00, and lasts until whenever. We've rented the club out for the night, and Maria Mercurial is going to be singing all her hits, especially from the Mercurial album.]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Smiley, I hope the 'peace-bonding' mysteriously failed for you during the ceremony too, just as I undoubtedly will fail at the reception? For the rest of you in Seattle, I don't know whether you're on the guest list for the reception or not, but it would be wise to hold your tongues if you have anything bad you feel like saying about Madrecita - at least for the rest of the night. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[Ah yes, Karl and Jassila did make it. I've run into Jassila a couple times in my 'side jobs'. I see Sting made it here, as well. She seems happier now that she's no longer got the responsibility for leading the Ancients in Seattle. And some of the off-duty docs and nurses from Deireadh An Tuartheil are here, since we both drop by the hospital now and then to help out when there's trouble or they're understaffed (more than usual). I'm not a doctor, but I know how to use a medkit, and healing magic can go a long way in triage situations. Other than that, there's a lot of local celebs and officials rubbing shoulders with runners, smugglers, and even a couple free spirits. That pony spirit I met when I was in Denver even stopped by, to get quickly surrounded by some of the local Awakened who were looking for news on what's going on in Ghostwalker's domain.

Even if you don't come for the party itself, there's plenty of interesting people to meet. Now excuse me, some of Xerena's friends showed up, and I still have to say hello to a friend from the Tir embassy that just walked in.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Predator, most of these people wouldn't bat an eye at the knowledge that there were a bunch of shadowrunners in Club Penumbra. Now you might get an interesting reaction if a member of the press caught them hanging out with runners, but that's another story. Fortunately, security was able to keep the press outside. The one reporter who tried to sneak in was caught by Father. While not as vindictive as Mother can be, he does have a penchant for mental manipulation spells. Poor woman probably wishes she was caught by Hawatari by this point. In other news, a female reporter for one of Horizon's networks got arrested for trying to proposition Knight Errant officers while naked in the middle of downtown Seattle. There was a small altercation outside as a crew of Humanis types tried to jump Sting as she was leaving the club. She's fine, they were transferred to KE custody after DocWagon patched them up. Of course, it helps that she knew they were there (thanks to my Watchers), and that she wasn't alone (thanks to Smiley and Hawatari 'just happening' to be outside taking in the fresh air).

Anyways, glad everyone could make it. We're off on our honeymoon later today. First stop Spain, then we'll swing by Paris and Tir Nan Og (by way of Snowdonia), before hitting the South Pacific. I haven't been to the other Tir before, so this should be an interesting experience.]<<<<<

I've been sleeping off a few hang overs, as I got to ride home with Smiley, and we both know his after parties can last well into a week or more after the party itself. I'm kinda sad I missed out on the fight outside, but i was too busy enjoying the club and not actually having to worry about anything.

Ugh. Did that really come out of my mouth, that I was looking for a fight? I think I have some built up aggression i need to take out in a game or training.

But yeah, figured I'd say hello, still alive, so no one will be missing their favorite messenger boy.]<<<<<
