>>>>>[Belisama,Europe is in dire straits but not everywhere, there is some nice zone in East Euro area and in the abandoned zero zone on the Balcan side. Not everywhere, even the best zones are dotted with forgotten toxic drek left from some war or some enterprise. All in all Prague, Bratislava and Buda-Pest sprawl was the better I've seen in Euro, lots of Drek but nothing like those I heard in Chicago, NY or Seattle or Ruhr for that]<<<<<

>>>>>[I've started adjusting the translations for sentence structure and context. So far, all I can make out is that it seems to be a book about... well, I guess the only way to describe them would be monsters from the deep metaplanes. It is slow going, but I think I've correctly translated enough to make some sense of it. The tome apparently came from some library in a place called 'Throal'. The name 'Barsaive' is mentioned as well. I think it is the name of a province? It also appears to be a written under the orders of a king. King of Throal, I think? Anyway, the tome is (or is a copy of) a work designed to inform 'Name-givers' (I think it means the same as 'metahuman', but also including Dragons and other sentients. Could be wrong, though.) about these monsters, so that they could defend against them. Sorry, names are easy when it comes to translations. Working out the rest to put things in proper context is the hard part. I'm pretty sure I've got the forewords translated correctly, but the warnings of the scholars who wrote them make me hesitant to put the specifics on the Matrix. According to them, simply Naming (there's a difference between 'name' and 'Name' in the text) Them can give Them power. It appears to be a codex of monsters, a bestiary, if you will. I don't have the skills to determine the authenticity of the work, or to say whether it is truth or fiction. A single document, without supporting evidence, lacks context. It could be that this is simply an ancient version of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Chrona, it might be time to try and find someone who can put this in context for us. One of the Elders, or perhaps a free spirit.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Even if it's a fairy tale, that explains the diagrams and means it is still that damn old. If you want to take it that far, you're the one with the contacts. I'm lucky/Unlucky enough to have never run into a free spirit. Though i have to wonder if it would be like bringing up Bugs with them, they might not want to discuss it. So Elders might be our best bet. I would love to profit from the tome after having it so long but now it is sounding like something we just need out of our hands, profit or not. I trust you to get us any possible compensation for us and your foundation and Tir contacts though, of course.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Iceblade, Chrona, Card, due to Knight Errant deciding that the clan is a major danger for some reason, we need to disappear for a bit.  Since space is a premium, I would appreciate it if you would hold on to some things until we can operate in Seattle again.  There's an apartment in Bellevue that's filled floor to ceiling with hardcopy books.  It's Uath's collection, and he'll be back for it.  It sounds like some stuff in there might help you, and consider the use of it payment for dealing with those spirits.  I don't think that they're all gone just yet, and we found out what happened to our people in Puyallup.  Those spirits got them, but we can't do anything about it because of the heat at the moment.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Nobody's looking for the library.  And the name on the apartment's a fairly respected academic.  It's his library, not ours.  We've got electronic copies, but since Uath can barely use a commlink, he writes everything in hardcopy.  And tracks everything down in some of the most primitive formats.  The man has vinyl albums and an old record player, for Ghu's sake.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Well, I've run into a few. Partly because I went looking for them for work. But part of this is a difference in traditions, you might say. Anyways, I'll start asking around to see if someone can verify the authenticity of the scroll. I'm going to be out for a few days. No offense, Chrona, but your home is not someplace most spirits would like to visit. Especially since your sister is there. If you're going to start negotiating with spirits like I'm going to have to, it is best to do it on ground that won't make them start off hostile to you. I'll head to Denver, and speak with some of the local spirits. If that doesn't work, then I guess it'll be the DIMR.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Status update Gospodins, I pulled some my strings in the Prague DIMR lab on that turbulence south of Polish-Slovak border, appear the area got what they call a background count, they said isn't Calozerca or toxic related, is something else and fairly new in appearance, they said there is something in that small area but they can't clearly see in it in astral, don't want to say me anything else, seems DIMR don't sent anyone there but I really doubt it. Another contact said they don't want to talk with DF of it for some reason. Now I seriously wonder what Prof. Schwartzkopf will do with that thing in his backyard, I suspect someone uncovered some artifact or some anomaly, and I'm hoping Calozerca don't do bad things again

On a side note, Iceblade you seems on something really serious...Could I lend any help?]<<<<<

>>>>>[Uath has VINYL, oh gods, maybe he isnt such a bad guy after all. Sorry guys, i've been cleaning up a mess that was one of my teams. You might have heard about a section of the Brooklyn Bridge going down last week, well it seems that another fixer they were working with got them a job transporting something for the UCAS government. Actually it was an escort job on an entire convoy but the last leg was just the one truck with the "ITEM". Seems the azzies didnt like it and arranged to hit the convoy a few times. This was the azzies last chance and they pulled out all the stops.]<<<<<

>>>>>[First time I ever saw a free spirit go green around the gills simply from looking at a piece of paper. I brought a hardcopy version of our translations with me to Denver since spirits are limited in how much they can glean from a screen, along with a copy of the original. The spirit literally crossed himself (original summoner was a Catholic, apparently), at the sight of it. He wouldn't say more, except that he hoped this came from a dragon hoard, because otherwise it would be 'too disturbing'. He did calm down a bit when I told him that it came from Germany, not Aztlan. Not sure why. I left your name out of it, though, Chrona. Anyways, this confirms that, whether the scroll is truth or fiction, there is some underlying truth there that the spirits find distasteful.]<<<<<
