May god grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, to change the things I can, and the firepower to make the difference.

Suicide is never the answer, now homicide on the other hand, that has posibilities.

@Wolfgar Me and Ruthless will be at Rebel's Yell bright and early. I hope they serve whiskey and coffee.

I'm going to sleep now.]<<<<<

A couple of rules though. Keep up, do exactly as I say, and finally do not, under any circumstances, touch anything electronic in there. The data in there is not to be accessed, copied or erased by any of you. If that rule is broken, I will personally rip your throat with my bare hands. If that's acceptable I'll meet up soon with the ones willing to help and give more details in person.]<<<<<

And if anyone asks, no, I won't talk about what happened until I've got some drinks in me. All I'll say is that it was a bad scene. You know those times when you're undercover, and you recognize that someone else is undercover, and they recognize you, and you got to dance around eachother so you don't blow both your covers and get killed? Now picture doing that in a hive.]<<<<<

I can't picture myself doing anything in a hive that isn't 'leave quietly' or 'open fire'. Speaking of opening fire in a hive, I hope I kept up with you vets well enough when we were shooting our way in.

Would have been more comfortable with a slightly lower bodycount on that one, but drek happens. Smiley, whoever paid you for that shaman, I hope they plan on putting a bullet in his head once they're done.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Glad to see you made it back! I wish I could have done more to help. I have a lot of bad karma to pay off.

It's something that overwrites your brain and makes you into someone else. That's all I have on it, but it seems that nanites are the spread vector. Heard something about someone getting a line on Patient Zero, but they disappeared after that. And I don't mean just vanished; all records of them suddenly ceased to exist. It seems to originate with NeoNET; lost a few good friends to it...

Anyway, I'd stay away from this. It's Deus-took-over-my-apartment bad news. But if you can't resist, you could start by looking into NeoNET and Project re897049wrgftey]<<<<<

>>>>>[Hmm. That would explain the nanotech researchers at the facility, then. I don't know why they'd want to take something like that and test it on bugs, though. Scratch that, I don't WANT to know.

And Ruthless, I try to avoid hives altogether if I can, but sometimes that's where the work is. I'm lucky enough that I have a decent rep with the spirit community, so sometimes I get work from them. One thing I will say about having a spirit as a Mr. Johnson is that they won't lie to you. They might tell you half a truth, a misleading truth, and what you might consider 'essential intel' might not be something they even consider worth mentioning, or they'll leave out certain details on purpose, but they won't lie to you, so long as you got a good rep. They'll just give you a straight "no answer" or change the subject instead of telling an out and out lie. I think it has to do with how the Astral works. Emotions and such carry a lot of weight in the astral. You can 'see' lies if you know what to look for, and their value system is different from ours.

And payment when dealing with spirits can be interesting, too. One time I got paid in some gold coins that I had tested, and turned out to be from Ancient Rome. Another time, I was paid in lore from the deep metaplanes. And sometimes it is just regular nuyen.]<<<<<

>>>>>[I haven't seen bugs since '55 and I would of preferred to keep it that way but I stumbled into them once again. Comes with the job I suppose.

Now some quick comments about the run:

Smiley, you need to hire better marksmen. I was outpacing your guys and hitting targets before they even pulled the trigger.

As for the body count I suspect Smiley and crew were paid to kill any non-runner in that facility. I'd prefer a lower body count but orders are orders.

Ruthless you did a good job keeping up. Us old folk don't exactly move slow now do we? Hope you also took some notes at the same time.

No problem getting you out Ice. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time when your dead man's switch came through.

Sorry about the drone Booze. He wasn't really needed but I hope you got a nice view of the action from my waistline.]<<<<<
