B&Eers and Faces are probably the two easiest types to play, rules-wise. Face for the RP-inclined, B&E for the less inclined. Which would you prefer?

Elf Face Character
6 Charisma+4 Influence Group+3 Tailored Pheremones=13 on Con, Etiquette Leadership and Negotiation
13 Dice in those skills should be enough to be fairly relevant.
There are programs called Linguasofts that can help you out language wise so you can speak during negotiating and the like.
You can get something like Intimidate 3 (Specialize Physical) spend 2 grand to get a Custom Weapon. Then you will be 6+5+3+2 weapon out and +2 Customization=18 on Intimidation checks with the weapon drawn.

Pistols specialize Automatics from 4 to 6 specialization. Get a good Agility score as an Elf and internal smartlink weapons with Personalized Grips and you should be around 14+ with your pistols. Get Stick-And-Shock and Ex-Ex ammo. You aren't the big time combat guy by any stretch. Makes things easier on you that way so combat isn't a big thing and you won't be threatened as much.

You can get lots of good armor, form fit it, Ruthenium it so it can color change and that way you don't look like you have body armor. There is a helmet/face mask thing you can don for 2/1 additional and you can also rig it up to have good senses.

A few 4/4 Contacts, Face skills all set, maybe a nice Positive thing like Made Man for an 8/4 group Contact or Black Market Pipeline to smuggle and deal stuff and get +3 on negotiating price goods and selling things.

My first character was a face. Get 13ish in the Influence group, 14ish with your pistols, have some decent contacts and good concealable/disguisable armor that can hide the pistols and your are gravy. After that stuff if you want to be the Wheelman and get some Reaction, Logic, some Mechanics stuff, a decent car or 3 you can do that too. The Face/Hacker, Face/Wheelman, Face/Adept, Face/Break and Entry (social engineering, baby!) Face/X thing can be done because being a Face doesn't really need to be the big thing points wise.

And with the PP you get with raising your magic (as you should), and if you can take the Speaker Way (it's in Way of the Adept, makes face-themed powers cheaper), you can easily boost way above even 13 dice, as a starting face.

Kat9, your sig made me lol at work.

Also, Serious, you'll want to get FFBA and the PPP suite, and then put whatever you want over it. There's no reason not to, unless the GM disallows it.

I'm having one of those moments called Blonde/Senor moments what does: FFBA? or PPP? mean?

Woot!

FFBA  = Form Fitting Body Armor
The other is, uh, Personal Protection Piecemeal.

Perfect new easy char build is a pistol adept. It gives the player a clear role. Makes the character fing lethal with even a hold out pistol and lets the player build up gradually on the rules without punching them in the face with either complexity or "you can`t do that".

ie guy looks like hes packing a lot of armour, if you want you can still do the shoot for more damage. Also if you wish you can try and shoot to bypass his ballistic armour?
An Awful lot of people believe a lot of very strange things indeed for no valid reason I can see. They can`t all be right but it is quite likely they all can be very wrong.

Rules-wise, muscle replacement cannot be combined with muscle augmentation or muscle toner.  Also, due to the rule that an augmented skill cannot exceed the base skill x 1.5, you need at least a 2 in pistols to be able to benefit from a reflex recorder.

Probably easiest char to pick up and play would be a troll weapons specialist.
Basically a huge troll with plenty of points put into body, reaction and agility.
Skills go into weapons, dodge, explosives, intimidate etc
Outfit him with a stack of armour, get him a really big gun (machine gun in servo harness or something awesome) and get a mode of transport too. you can put some cyber in if you want to get fancy.
Good mods for machine gun/assault rifles are: smart gun, shockpads, foregrips, underbarrel weights, heavy barrel. Basically anything that makes it easier to hit and recoil less.

Youve only got to worry about learning combat rules in detail, play him as a fighter class. Get stuck in and blow drek sky high :-)

I have to disagree. Combat characters require much more detailed knowledge of the rules than a skill-based character like a B&Eer or Face. The bias toward combat characters being "simple" comes from older RPGs like DnD, and it isn't true in Shadowrun. Combat characters are less complex than Hackers, Mages, Riggers, or Technomancers, but more complex than skill-based characters.

Mhmm, with a character like a face you generally just declare what you're trying to do and get told a threshold. No mucking about with customizing weapons, figuring out recoil, making an attack roll, special cover rules, special movement rules, called shot rules, or anything.
