The gecko adheres to the wall and you shimmy up the first metre, but you've still got some way to go.
threshold is the height, so 4m.
your first simple action got you 1m, I rolled your second action as climbing as your original action wasnt valid.

Focussing your mind and strength on getting out of here alive, you push the burning of your eyes and throat to one side and haul yourself to the top, anchoring your gecko kit and getting ready for the big pull.

The drone turret spins and tracks Mantis's flight towards the back of the van, catching you in its crosshairs and streaking your armour with the pain inducer.
Your right arm burns even more than your eyes, but the cover of the van soon breaks the beam, relieving you of the agony immediately.
Knives is already halfway up the wall as you clear the van's cab, and spins at the top offering you a hand.

The drone appears round the corner of the van as you haul mantis over the lip of the wall, it's weaponry flashing and streaking your armour as you jump the 4 metres or so to your freedom.
resist 2s stun damage with bod and half impact, full mods too
With a heavy thud, your ankles and knees scream at the landing, but you realise you're over the wall and into a small service alley with main roads to both your left and right. You need to head due south to hit the river, the police sirens in the distance remind you how critical time had become

According to p.162 Wound mods don't apply to damage resistance tests but even you take off the 3 from the negative modifiers it's still 3 hits which resists the damage.


Knives winces as he hits the ground.  *Thank the Queen we made it!  Now time to haul ass before the fuzz get here.*  Determination drives his body onward when it begs for rest.  He heads south as fast as his legs will carry him.

Mantis has been taking a beating on this run but no where near as bad as his last run it seems like things like hitting Mantis with force near to the end of the run instead of at the start. I guess getting all the bruises at the end makes most of the run do able.

I think the queen made those drones just to give me and the other low borns a bad day as much as possible. Mantis does his best to keep pace with Knives as they make their way to the boat. The boat better be there I need a good rest and maybe a shot or two of a strong drink.

You both take the hard landing in your stride, fighting off the nausea and disorientation as you run towards the river, turning right and right again to head due south out of the finance district towards the river bank and the old jetty.
The sound of sirens surrounds you, echoing off the tall glass fronted buildings. With your heads spinning it was damn hard to keep running straight, let alone thinking straight.

It was hard to get a precise fix on which way they were approaching from, the last thing you wanted to do right now was run straight into the bonnet of a police responder.

Knives pulls out his com to text Dunk and has to shake his head to make out what he is writing.  <We're incoming keep the motor hot.>  Afterwards he dials up the spatial recognizer to try and pinpoint the incoming coppers.

Mantis's mind is wrapped around his spells he has in place with the buzz of the sirens in the background. Mantis does his best to make haste in the race to the boat before the Bobbies can get there stun guns into Mantis's flesh. I need a beer something cold.

You got a bit of a drop on Mantis as you break out of the alleyway first, hitting the street and sprinting the length of Gridguide HQ.
The blood pulses in your ears and the residue from the gas stings your eyes and throat as you gulp the air in to fuel your strides.
Reaching the first crossroads, your spatial recognizer informs you that you have one batch of sirens approaching from directly behind you, and another from the front and left. The both seem to be converging on GGHQ.
Looking left as you hit the crossroads, you deduce that it must mean from the next crossroads; the last one before the river. The next junction was roughly 100-120mtrs away, with the river another 50metres away from there.

You hear sirens approaching, but are too disoriented to figure out where from.
Knives is pulling ahead of you, sprinting at full tilt and is at the crossroads already, you've lagged behind a bit and are about 20metres behind

When Mantis notices he is falling a bit behind he decides the AR Arrows are a great aid when you and your teammate can't see each other. Mantis decides to drop Knives an arrow of his location, pointing to where he is and distance his distance from Knives. If I didn't jar my leg on the drop I might be able to keep up with him. They best not drive away with out me.

Knives stops for a few seconds to catch his breath, get his bearings straight, and to let Mantis catch up a bit. He sends a quick message to Mantis with some new instructions.  <We've got fuzz incoming at 6, 9, and 12.  Let's head right at this intersection then come back around the next block down.  It's round about but better not risk getting spotted.>  Attached Knives sends an ARO highlighting the route he was described.

Hacking a right took you round the front of GridGuide HQ, looking into the large glass atrium from the outside, you could see an ambulance responder trying to revive the downed guard. The police sirens enter the street you ran down, covering it in a pulsing blue and red staccato lighting effect. instinctively you knew that the police were heading to the front of the building and would be arriving incredibly shortly to set up a perimiter. If you were to survive this, you'd need to put time and distance between you and GGHQ.
Looking over your shoulder, you saw two marked patrol cars approaching at speed.
Going by what dunk had said, the bulk of the re-inforcements were arriving from the river road ahead and to the left of your position at the crossroads.

<Let's pick up the pace.  If we don't get out of the area soon we're fucked.>  Knives picks up his pace considerably but watches Mantis' ARO to make sure he's not falling too far behind.  He heads off towards the river using the path he marked in AR.

It takes a minute to sink before Knives realizes the flashing AR reminder was very relevant and powers down the comlink nicked from the security guard.
