The daughter of the Seattle Yakuza Boss supposedly yanked all kinds of data before returning to her father.  A flavor book detailing Jackpointers from her perspective would be pretty good.  It could also get rolled into a cash grab sourcebook for syndicates or something, if publishing costs demanded it.
I was under the impression the Kiku/Keiko did that with Shadowland, not Jackpoint, though I grant you some of the posters are the same.

10 JackPointers is an assessment done by Horizon, and at least one member (Rigger X) has had their local rep score dinged for selling information about it.

The problem will always lie with the human element. Harlequin "hacked" JackPoint (at least) once using Frosty's account because she forgot to change her password.

Personally, I'd just add a couple one- or two-page profiles in the back of every book like the G.I. Joe comic did with Joes in the 80s.

I'd collect the profiles and stats from the Character Trove section of the campaign books, which include a dozen or two JackPointers since Artifacts Unbound while being short enough to include 5-6 in two pages.

OBTW, I'd have to check, but I think it was confirmed that this is /dev/grrl, from Seattle 2072.

And this is the deck case Shadowjack was referring to.

Keiko's betrayal is just the in game explanation for how the data came out.  The point is to publish profiles for Jackpointers.  It doesn't have to be Keiko specifically, although she still keeps tabs on the Shadows, but the point is that some insider could sell out.  It could just as easily be a corporate headhunter's report.

I think one of our players once had a pdf "Jackpoint Character List". I'll ask.

Do you mean this one maintained by our own FastJack?:

That was Harley?! I thought Ehran did it.

Positively ghastly.

>I can see this veering into whining territory. Do I get to shoot you in the ass now?

>And you a married man! I don't think Kat would approve.
>dev/grrl

>I can shoot anyone I want, as long as that's all I do. And don't you have homework, Lil Britches? A field assignment? Something? Surely I didn't give you the weekend off.
>Kane

For all her effort to "prove herself", setting up and maintaining Jackpoint, it sounds as though Kane's days of not taking her seriously have come to a definite middle, as they saying goes.

Yes, though the situation in Boston may force her to go further into the shadows, depending on what needs to be done to deal with that.

She graduated high school a while ago. She's training with Kane rather than do college I think. Probably sold it to her parents as "A year of humanitarian work in South America, to help the rainforrest" or something similar. Looks good on teh college resume.

Well.

As long as you leave off the "Running around, stealing ships as a pirate" part. :D

Actually, I rather like it: It's appropriate for her, and I think the artist nailed what her case would look like.

So I guess NetCat and Slam-O! need a new babysitter then?

They probably have for a bit, especially since the lockdown happened in Boston; Kane mentioned she's attempted to steal a boat to get in there once, and I imagine he's keeping her on a short leash.

Ayup. Chrome Flesh has her *not* being happy with the Boston situation. She's outside, after all, and her parents are INside.

Kane's well aware that emotion can make you do stupid things.

Of course, just because she can't *physically* go anywhere, it doesn't mean that a Matrix-based "Mr. Johnson" couldn't hire a Shadowrun team...

They can always ask uncle Kane. ;)

...What? He's been doing fine with /dev/ so far.
