Silk walked in and nodded politely to everyone.
"Hello, good to see you all again." Her mood seemed to be set on doing business, the rain had taken most of her happy mood away. It chanced when she noticed the troll, she beamed a pearly white smile at him and said
"Sure thing, big guy. Keeping the place safe? Hope the cops didn't cause any problems." She accepted the mug.
She looked at... was that LJ? If it was, it was a pretty damned good disguise, she could learn a thing or two from him, her... whatever. But who else that size would be here at this moment. She showed her curiosity with a frown and slightly bowed her head towards the minute figure.
... moments later ...
She sat quietly in her chair, observing her employer and her team. It wasn't much different from last time, only now the hacker didn't walk out of the job immediately. Noise quiet but alert, like a bunch of armed people could drop in any second. Andromeda focused and to the point, Hank uncomfortable with a tense situation and trying to loosen it up. The gnome seemed to enjoy antagonizing people. She did have to hand it to her
(him?),
(s)he knew what buttons to push. She waited and listened.
Ah, that's what you think is my button? Okay, I'll play along. Nobody else seems to feel like biting anyway.Comm @Team: "Enough of this, LJ... or Jun. -We really need to find a handle for you that doesn't change daily.- We'll work out the payment amongst ourselves just like we did last time, when the job's done. If you're unhappy with your cut, be sure explain why yours should be bigger than that of the rest of us when the time comes. In the end there isn't a difference between us dividing 6 times 7 or simply 42k, but there will be a difference between the pay we can get from a Johnson in a good mood or one in a bad mood. So please, try not to get the Johnson annoyed over details we can sort out ourselves.""Joe, you know the fact that we're all here means we're interested. Now I know you're nothing like him and you've shown us a lot more respect and professionalism, for which I'm sure we're all grateful.", she pointedly looked at some of her team members before continuing.
"But after the mess your ex-higher-up had us walk into you can't blame some of us for being a bit on their guard, can you?" She breathed out audibly, a small change in her expression indicated that she'd much prefer to talk business instead of exchanging compliments and small talk.
"So you found Ragley? Good.
A week to do the job, that's certainly a better than last time. We might actually have time to do some legwork and, you know, bring gear. I suppose that's at least some good news.", she shifted slightly on her chair.
"But after the info from last week it still took this long before you could track him down and gather enough info to hire us. That would mean he's either not in Seattle or he is, but laying low and very much on his guard. Either way, that complicates things a lot... Not to mention that from the way you're describing the job it sounds like it's two jobs."
