Mr. Johnson looks over the group, including the robotic cat now sitting on the table. "Let's get down to business then.

“Someone has stolen an object from the people I represent.  We would like to get it back quickly, as we have reason to believe that this person is trying to sell it. What you’re looking for is some music-related data that’s important to my employer’s business. I don’t know who stole it—my employer’s home was broken into a couple of days ago, and the disk was taken along with some other items in which we have no particular interest. Your best bet is probably to keep your ears open to whatever channels you think might be appropriate—if the thief is going to sell it, word will have to get out that it’s available. The object storing the data is an old-style optical disk. We want both disk and data returned, in the eventuality that the one no longer resides on the other. In case it’s not clear, my employers don’t want the disk’s data getting into the hands of anyone but themselves, so if the data gets out, we expect you to track down and eliminate any copies.

He pauses.  "Any questions so far?"

While leaving the talking to the others, Kris starts sniffing for wireless traffic off the Johnson, to make sure no data is being transmitted while the meet was going down. White noise generators were all and good, but it did nothing for video recordings.

Wyrmtongue considered this. An old-style data disk? Were there even any readers left that could read the thing? Still, it had to be something important. Shaking his head, Wyrmtongue said, "So far, no questions. Do you have any further intel for us?"

Kris' search for any signals coming from the Johnson come up nil.  Aside from his earlier use of his commlink to activate the generator, traffic from the troll is next to nothing.

"The only other thing I know that can help you is what I was told myself.  My client has said that there are some old music files on the disk that mean a lot to my employer.  'Immense personal and sentimental value' were the words they used.  I'd suggest tapping into any contacts you may have that work in the Music or Entertainment industries."

Predator quirks an eyebrow slightly, thinking to herself why someone would go to this much trouble just for an old datadisk that just has some old music on it. Granted, it wasn't the strangest job she'd run across, but it still seemed damned odd.

Sugoi was still outside by his bike, playing watchout for the group, looking around for anything that might warrant danger to his new teammates while they were in the meeting.

Outside, Sugoi plays lookout, and doesn't see anything out of the ordinary.  On the other hand, he is getting some looks his way, from both the bouncers at the door, and some of the more adventurous patrons of Infinity.
