The ork throws out his hand, dissipating the bolt before it landed.

Wyrmtongue shook her head. To the others, she said, "Forget the others, take down the mage!" She drew one of her predators, from her belt, and fired. However, it seemed the strain of holding the other spell in place was taking a toll on her abilities.

Simple action to draw weapon, simple action to fire.
7d6.hits(5)=1
If, by some miracle, that hits, using ExEx ammo, so 6P, -2 AP.

Wyrmtongue's added fire only manages to inflict a grazing hit against the Ork.

Reaction 3 - Defending from last action 1 - 2d6.hits(5)=1
Also, Mirikon, can you roll to see if you maintain the spell.  I'd let it go, but you're already maintaining the shapeshift spell in addition to the Orgy spell, and now you're firing a gun.  Spellcasting + Willpower (5)

Well, the sustaining focus is sustaining my shapeshifting spell. And on page 184 of SR4A, it lists the test to maintain concentration as Spellcasting+Willpower(2). Where did the (5) come from?

sorry, I was coming off a nap when I read that.  My eyes were a little groggy.   In any case, I think Pyro is up next.

Sugoi sees that this might be more of a cinch than anticipated, pops his sword out of the sheath and in a fluid motion draws and cuts at the man with the AK.

Quick Draw, Threshold 2 (11d6.hits(5)=3)

Adding Edge. Slicing and Dicing the man with the AK. (20d6.hitsopen(5,6)=8)

Reach will be -1 to his dodge.

Base DMG: 6P, -1 AP
H0llister - Demo Team

Red: Matrix
Blue: Speech
Green: Thought

the force of the spell pretty much denies him any chance of dodging, so it's an automatic hit.  So mDV would be 14, against AV of 3.  So congrats.  Pretty much an insta-kill.

The slash slices the man from his hip to his shoulder, and he falls to the ground a lifeless heap of flesh.

Father Fury unleashes a volley of punches at the ork mage, which flash with light at each blow.

No situational modifies as far as I can tell, so 18 dice pool --> 10 hits

Base damage value of 9P, resisted by half impact armor

mDV 18 against 3. . . . Well, even if I managed to roll nothing but hits, I'm dead anyway.

The brutal flurry from Fury downs the mage for good.

With the Ork and Human killed, it was a trifle for your team to dispatch the remaining goons.  The five bodies lay broken and bloodied.  Behind the bar, a man poked his head up, asking "Is it over?"

It isn't hard to figure out that the cowering figure of a man is Kerwin Loomis, owner of the Coda and the man you're here to find.

Take some time, loot the bodies.

Father Fury mutters a short blessing over the bodies (or what's left of them) as his teammates search their pockets.

A quick session of looting nets you an AK-97, 5 Colt Manhunters, several magazines of ammo, damaged armor jackets and lined coats, and their commlinks.

Wyrmtongue moved to Lewis as she slipped the Predator back into her belt. Let the others handle the business of looting the bodies. It would make for a good backdrop to the conversation with Loomis. "Now, Kerwin Loomis, we need to have a bit of a chat. And I believe you know what it is about, hmm?"

The relief in his eyes turns to fear. "Oh god, not you people too.  Look, like I said to those guys you just killed, I don't know what you're looking for.  I just run a bar."  Loomis looks around.  "And as you can see, not all that well."

Wyrmtongue shook her head. "Loomis, you're just making this harder on yourself. You hired a hacker to spread the word about a sale of a very rare item. We already got to her, which is why we're here. Now, why don't you tell me everything you know about that item, hmm?"
