Just seemed like it was getting there, so I thought I'd cut it off before it actually became one. I did check, and it appears Chummer doesn't charge extra in the generation I despise, but I just can't do that type of generation.

Sichr never smite, I do but not this time, and neither Netz, nor Kour have any reason to do so. They've seen me discussing rules long enough to know I am not letting such discussion take over fun. You sure you aren't having any other threads open right now?

and anyway. I've just seen a 750 karmagenned spirit, and I think it's too strong for the adventure.
If you accept your creation being upgraded or downgraded by my subjective feeling go ahead and  create one with your preferred method.

I'll still hold off. Those extra charges in Chummer are rubbing me the wrong way, and I just despise the karma generation too dang much (not to mention that I just don't think the uber low-powered stuff is even remotely fun).

All4:Ive just commented that in case that karmagen would create more powerfull "teammate" you wont complain ;) come on. There is more ways to create character than Chummers, so try that xls chargen ie

Well, I've just played around creating a free spirit character on BP using a xls generator... And it really does not look good. If you intend to have any above average attribute, you will be without BP before going to the skills...

So it fits that SCA Redux Low power setting for xls, am I right? attribs  for 5Karma points, 650 karma.

EDIT: I See...it also lowers Availability to 8, max beginning active skill level to 3

Well, the sheet I first sent to Sent (no pun intended), was the normal Karmagen built, with the only differences being the attributes for 5 karma points x rating and using only 650 karma instead; the max avaliability stays at 12 (I even bought fake Sin 4 and fake license 4) and the max active skills are unchanged (one at 6 or two at 5, all the others capped at 4). This one was the one he said met the power level he approved...
