Infiltration should usually be a group effort anyway. A team is either sneaky, or 'in your face'. A mage could cast invibility/stealth/sound barrier/silence spell on the team members, a spirit use their conceal power, a face talk their way in or distract while the other get in, a hacker edit the camera feeds, or who ever could buy a state of the art stealth/camouflage suit.
From what I read everyone will somehow be able to take on the infiltrator role.
That is not the primary quality of my character, but she has what it takes to infiltrate anything.
Infiltrator is actually my character's role, so I disagree somewhat. Just because you throw a couple points in one stealth skill doesn't make you an Infiltrator. My character can do everything you just listed (except for the mage stuff) and more.
Face isn't even a role in this game, but my infiltrator has it covered. He's a decent AR Hacker, has stealth skills, athletic skills, and can fight okay too. He's got ruthenium alloy on all his primary armor, and a silenced, thermal suppressed gun (and bullets) that can get through a MAD scanner with no effort. He's got concealed climbing gear and plenty of other B&E gear, including nanite slicers. He's got a wardrobe full of different clothes to fit each role, a face case, and AR makeup. I could go on and on. This is an infiltrator 100%, and doesn't fit any of the other roles requested, because I designed him to be one.
I'm not saying only the infiltrator can infiltrate or assist in it. I'm saying he/she is the one designed for it. Best to have someone who knows what they are doing in these matters, instead of just completely winging it every time. The hired infiltrator is a time-honored character in stories. The Hobbit, James Bond, Star Wars, ect.
And yeah, Teafo, I really hope more games get started up too. Too many players on the Pbp board and not enough GMs. It's unfortunate. I'd start one if I were any good at GMing and actually liked doing it, but unfortunately that isn't the case.
