I'm still in. A few final things:
1. Are you ok with the connection to 67 being as simple as Samuel seeing a couple of hopped up punks trying to intimidate 67 one day and intervening? I imagine 67 would make note of a local guy who isn't afraid to risk one of those ass beatings you mentioned, maybe he bought Samuel a drink afterwards and they have an exchange small talk when their paths cross a few times a month kind of relationship. I put him at loyalty 2; they don't know each other well but 67 appreciates Samuel's guts and Samuel appreciates that 67 doesn't like having to work with gangs when he does but doesn't have the power to change it.
2. The last knowledge skill that I finally did figure out. I'm sure you get what the local magical shadow community part is, I figure at this point Samuel has been working with Dave for about 8 years. Spent a lot of time around the shop, learned a lot about the business and the web that connects the various talismongers, suppliers, and buyers. The specialization in courier business comes from the idea that Dave has Samuel make some deliveries and pick ups here and there, almost all of an illegal nature. So Samuel's knowledge that isn't learned from Dave extends to the people and places that traffic underground magical goods, the best routes from shop A to drop spot B and back to shop A along a different path, how to try and get through Hermanos territory with things that might be a-glowin' on the astral, that sort of thing. I feel like there is a better way to list that on the character sheet but I can't figure out what that should be.
3. If we're going to be kind of thrown into things, can Samuel start with a few preparations? Not a lot, but I feel like part of his routine when he knows he is going out would be making a Heal, Increase Reflexes, and Gecko Crawl preparation in case he gets into a fight. If you're not planning on any kind of violent opening action then we can just skip it for the sake of convenience.
