thats for a perception test to decide ;-) please add in a negative modifier of -4 on the test for low light.

I've tried to get registered on Invisible castle but I don't seem to be getting an email to confirm the log in. AHHHHH!! and this is not the first time I've tried this, and I keep using other forms of Scawire but no luck. :'(

Born into servitude of an old noble family line in his native Scotland Michael was quick to take up the trade of his father, the estate gillie. He managed the lands and lived wild more often than not. when his father dies he took over the role as was his birthright.
When the last of the noble line died the estate fell into disrepair and went lost and forgotten as did Michael. He lived off the land and the critters that dwelt there, venturing as far as civilization only to get rudimentary supplies and more ammo for his rifle. Due to his practiced skills on the estate he has become a fine huntsman.
His natural skills unaided by technological advancement caught the eye of a few prospective clients and now Michael gets hired to hunt para critter among other things.

I'll have to read up on the changes. I read it cover to cover when it first came out, the group I was GMing for decided not to swap, and I haven't looked at it since. I don't think much will effect Knives except limits... I'm kinda impartial but you may have to remind me of somethings / be patient with me getting acclimated. In the campaign I ran IRL I usually house ruled that it was 2x device rating, or in some cases got a bonus based on a roll made to install the device... stuff like that. Though my group essentially started as "Prime Runners" and then we played for about a year. Not to mention a bunch of min-maxers.

@Lumen; if you're struggling to see anything of use, remember your commlink has a holo-projector built in. it would cast enough of a weak light that you'd be able to see a bit more.
failing that, you've always got the markets to buy a proper flashlight from and don't forget dunk is a rigger, skilled at working with electronics.
A clear plastic sheet covers the row of ports, hinged at the far side to swing out of the way for access.
Try as you might, the plastic cover would not budge under pressure from your fingers alone. IT feels like the sleeve is there to protect the ports from more than just the weather...
Balls. Is it possible to cut through the plastic without damaging the plug? Sounds like that could work without setting off the RFID sensor. Since he chucked the two ceramic blades he'd have the two combat knives so he doesn't have to use the cougars.it is possible, but remember it is an "anti-tamper" device :-)

I'm leaning towards 3 or 4. Knives is the sneaky stabby type, not the technology wiz type. Hell I could toss down one end of stealth rope and the gecko gloves, have Mantis hang on and I could pull him up. That way Knives does the heavy lifting.
2 is an option but it could be really risky. 1 I think will result in failure, we were warned from the beginning if they find out it was tampered with the mission was a bust.

@Csjarrat: Unless this is normal, I think Taylor would be spooked by this. An unspecified source that may or may not be a middle man for Mr. Smith giving him an obscure location to be at in a short timeframe and then non-responsive smells really fishy to him. Before I go and have Taylor do something stupid I want to make sure he doesn't know something I don't, namely wether this is as fishy as it smells to me :P If this an odd, but still within the bounds of "normal," construct for him and Mr. Smith then he'll probably go the loo route and set up some precautions. The mark invite makes sense, but a request for an invite doesn't to me :/ apologies if i've miswrote something; the intention was it was a meeting invite(date and time) with an invite to take a mark on the host to enter the meet (passkey).

Is he heading towards or away from the club?He's heading down towards downing street, so away from the club. You currently can't go any further as you're blocked by a security cordon due to a visit from a head of state, so the pedestrian traffic has kind of bottlenecked and is trying to divert around the blockage.
A task is basically one job you ask/tell your sprite to do. It has to be a simple task without conditions or heavy decision-making requirements. A single task can be one of the following things: A single use of a sprite power; one Combat Turn worth of Matrix actions that apply to the same job; participation in cybercombat that lasts until all of the enemy combatants have been defeated or you’ve escaped to safety.
If you succeed with an Attack action, your target becomes aware that it is under attack by another icon, but it doesn’t automatically spot you. It will most likely actively search for you on its next action, although it will almost always alert its owner to the attack and (if it’s a host) launch IC, depending on the owner’s preferences and the gamemaster’s judgment. If you fail with an Attack action, you are not noticed, because you failed to affect your opponent (though note the damage effects of rejected code coming back to you, Illegal Actions, p. 231).Emphasis mine.

I assume the fancy suit is nothing more than expensive clothing but let me know the stats on the fencing gear as I assume it will come up here soon. If things go to plan then Knives will be confronting this douche on the practice mat and putting the pressure on.Fencing gear will count as custom fit armour with helmet. It gives ARM 4 against melee attacks only and counts as having a biomonitor and single sensor (pressure) woven throughout it.
Okay, trying to think of ways through or around the blockade...Police procedure is to direct resources at the biggest threat vector, in this case it would be the main entrance to the tube station, as that's where the majority of foot traffic would fall. far less resources would be put into blockading maintenance exits or emergency exits (if anything, a patrol drone might be tasked with occasionally checking them if there is one free) as they tend to be electronically alarmed to dissuade incorrect usage by the public, or are through restricted zones that the public cannot access.

Both locks and cameras are good consumer level versions, DR 3 with identical DP/FW
They are all on the TFL grid and slaved to the station's host.

So the DP/FW != 3? sorry, yeah rules memory fail. its a DR3 camera, DP3 as per normal. FW is 6 as per host. Or does the host also have a DP/FW of 3? AFAIK, the only way I'd know they were slaved to something is that their DP/FW were not equal to their DR (which would be a dead giveaway), or by going into the master and looking for devices slaved. And in 5E none of those are glitches... needs to be >50% (so for 2 dice need both to be 1s for a glitch, which is automatically a crit glitch).

@Lumen: In 5th you can still act with an ini of 7, but you'll alternate actions (excluding interrupts) with all other combatants. So you'll get one more action, you can go neg.

@CsjarratYeah, she knows you're not a regular decker, that smith uses you for odd jobs that the regular hires can't do and suspects you're a TM. Just never had it confirmed to her from the horse's mouth so-to-speak
Btw, I still don't know if Bex knows Mams is a TM or not. I'm leaning towards "no" as she's not even a contact of mine (Smith is, but I've been working through Bex the whole storyline), but early on she was referencing some of my "special" abilities which implies that she *does* know. /me is just a bit confused (and happy to throw a log + int roll to see if Mams is as well)
Thanks. It feels to me through role play, that Bex and Mams are reasonably close given they actually meet in the meat. Should I switch her in for my Smith contact and lower the connection and raise the loyalty? Not close like he'd like to be with Amber, but nearly as friendly as he is with Ralphy.yeah, that sounds sensible to me!

Once we wrap up the time at Ralphy's I'll write up having him train some on survival (using 2 karma) and spend some time working on his sprites. I'm not looking to min/max every moment free to build up tasks, just spend some time working on them. Maybe compiling a new one, but probably not. Hmmmm an insulated cloak costs 350 for a passé looking one...Its a good call, especially if you're gonna go exploring the ranges of the property. Its quite an extensive piece of land and its quite rugged terrain too. With the cold and the snow, you will be making exposure rolls and insulated stuff will come in damn handy for that :-) otherwise, you'll have to keep cutting it short and returning to the warmth to avoid taking fatigue damage

A gesture of 100 quid should give you some warmer kit, gloves/hat/scarf etc. Enough for a bit of activity outdoors but not enough for extended periods, you'd need gear with the insulation mod to avoid exposure tests
